He dared not utter a single word after stuttering for a long while.

Paying no heed to everyone else in the room, he wrapped his arm around her slender waist and pulled
her into his embrace protectively.

down.

After taking Frank’s statement for over an hour, the officer wasn’t going to let the matter slide just
because the former withdrew his report.
“Even if the opposing party doesn’t pursue the matter, you’ll be detained for five days and fined five
hundred for filing a false report. Your sentence starts this very moment!”
On the brink of tears, Frank almost copsed to his knees. “I’m sorry. Can you spare me from any
punishment?”
