Chapter 596 Too Handsome
Abigail listened quietly. Meanwhile, Cameron was touched hearing that. A tearful I sniffled and held
Cameron''s hand.
"You have a point, but he''s still not a good match for our daughter," Houstonmented, a little more
polite now. He didn''t want to fight Sean.
Sean looked at him coolly. "We only brought her back so you can rethink your decision. I see you have
made your decision. We''re leaving." He stood up and looked at I. "This is your problem. You make
the decision."
I held Cameron''s hand tightly and looked straight at her parents. "Thank you for raising me all these
years, but I''m not an extension of your lives. I am not your property. I am nearly twenty-six years old; I
have a mind of my own and dreams of my own too. I have things I must do. He''s the man I chose to be
with. No matter what happens in the future, I will take it in stride."
Abigail agreed with that. After all, every decision came with its own consequences. If the children could
understand that, there was no need for their parents to butt in.
L''s eyes reddened, and she pointed at I. "You traitor! After all we did to raise you into an adult,
you''re marrying someone inferior?"
Cameron didn''t bother hiding his true self anymore. He wiped off his smile and looked at the Stevens
couple with his one good eye. After working for Sean for so long, he had built up his own aura, and he
was like a sharp de ready to kill. "Inferior? I promised you I''d open up a security firm, work hard, and
make sure she doesn''t have to worry about life. I''m not azy person, and I''m not someone who can''t
make money. I used to be in special forces, and I''ve gained a ton of glory working for Mr. Graham. I''ll
tell the public I''m resigning, and there''ll be a ton of people willing to hire me. How is that bad for you?"
Cameron looked calm and nonchnt.
I looked at him, her cheeks red. She wanted to hug him. This part of him was what she loved—his
cool and gentle part.
I''s parents were surprised by Cameron''s change.
Cameron held I in his arms. "She chose me. I will take responsibility for her. If you want to control
her life and make her do as you wish, then I''m taking her away right now, and I''ll prove that I can
provide for her, too." He wouldn''t prove things to the Stevens couple because he didn''t think it was
necessary.
"Cameron…" I was tearing up at this point.
"Don''t worry. As long as I''m here, no one can force you to marry someone you don''t like." Cameron
took I away without saying another word.
Abigail could see that I had fallen head over heels in love with Cameron. The truth was, she could
understand why I wanted to date Cameron despite her parents'' protests. She could see Cameron''s
charm now.
When they came out of the Stevens Residence, Sean was frowning, and he stared at Cameron.
Abigail was walking with him, and she bumped into him. "Jealous?"
Sean was jealous. Hey, you''re just courting ady. Do you have to make it so dramatic? It makes my
efforts look dull. I looked like she''d marry him right away if he proposed. "You thought he was manly
back then, didn''t you?" Sean asked, jealousycing his tone.
Abigail nodded. "Yep. He was. I''d fall for him too if I were I."
A jealous Sean looked at her. "Why don''t I try that on you, then? Do you want another courtship just
like that?"
"Is that even an appropriate approach for us?" Abigail asked.
Sean sighed. It wasn''t an appropriate approach. Why couldn''t I be that manly back then? He rubbed his
chin as he mused.
They then got into the car. Cameron said he wanted to take I around, so they parted ways with Sean
and Abigail. Once back at the hospital, Abigail told Analise about the events that transpired.
Analise was happy, yet she was worried, too. "Her parents must be mad. They have to invite her

parents to the wedding eventually, don''t they?"
"Don''t worry too much about it. The kids will find their own happiness." Abigail smiled.
Sean added, "And if there are no kids, we''ll find our happiness easily."
Abigail rolled her eyes. "You have to stop browsing those forums."
Sean smiled. "If you know I found that through forums, that means you''ve gone on a lot too."
"Don''t drag me down to your level. I make a living through the inte," Abigail snapped.
A while of banteringter, Lawrence and Scarlett came again. They went to Gary''s ward a while ago,
and Gary gave them a task. It was a hard task they were having trouble with. They put the supplements
down and looked at Abigail, a little too scared to talk.
Analise smiled at them. "You don''t have to bring so much stuff over. I''m leaving tomorrow. I''ve asked
the doctor about it, and he gave me permission. You guys look troubled."
"Yeah. Gary misses Abby. He wants her to see him," Lawrence mumbled, looking at Abigail nervously.
"I''ll see him, then." Abigail thought she should reciprocate. After all, they came to take care of Analise,
so she should see Gary.
