Chapter 367 Growing Intimacy
Aletta was sound asleep on the bed,pletely unaware of the man’s words.
The next morning, Aletta woke up and had breakfast with Jason before heading back to the research
institute.
As she entered the building, she saw Lewising out of his office.
Seeing the dark circles under his eyes, which seemed even darker than before. Aletta couldn’t help but
ask, “Did you pull an all- nighter again?”
Lewis yawned and replied, “No, I slept a few hours in the office.”
It was enough to sustain him for the whole day.
Aletta looked at him with concern and said, “Lewis, please take care of your health. Don’t die
prematurely at such a young age.”
Although her words were meant to show concern, they didn’t sound quite right.
Lewis chuckled and said, “I won’t die prematurely. I have regr check–ups, and I’m confident I’ll live
another sixty years at least.”
After speaking, he entered the research room.
In the morning, they worked together on their research. After a few hours of busyness, Aletta’s phone
rang.
She had forgotten to put it on silent in the morning and immediately looked towards Lewis, afraid of
disturbing him.
However, he didn’t react at all. As if nothing, even a major event, could distract him from looking at the
data and doing his research.
Aletta breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly went outside to answer the call.
It was Jason on the other end. She asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Come out and get lunch downstairs,” he replied.

Was it already noon?

feel unwell in the hotel at night.”

The next second, her cheek was pinched by Jason.
With a smirk, he said unceremoniously, “Next time, try not saying ‘thank you‘ to me!”
Aletta winced a bit from the pinch and red at him, stubbornly retorting, “You’re not happy about me
thanking you. Why are you like this?”
Jason replied calmly, “It feels distant, and I don’t like it.”
“Oh, then I still say it next time.”
She teased him for a moment, then turned around and ran off before Jason could react.
Watching the fleeing figure of the young woman, Jason couldn’t help but smile. He was in a very good
mood.
Perhaps Aletta herself hadn’t noticed that their rtionship was growing increasingly intimate!
Back in the research room, Aletta shook the bag in her hand and said, “Lewis, let’s have lunch.”
Lewis didn’t even put down what he was working on. He just nced at the things in her hand and
said, “You can eat it yourself.”
For him, eating was merely to fill his stomach. What could be more important than research?
Seeing his response, Aletta didn’t know what to say. She could only go to the rest area alone to have
lunch.

looking for you.”

Aletta’s eyes widened with surprise. The person who came was… Professor Albert!
Professor Albert was an instructor within the “World Medical League.” When she and her four seniors
joined the Medical League, they were assigned to Albert and ced under his supervision. He was not
only a senior but also their mentor.
Lewis also appeared surprised at seeing him. Rarely putting down his work, he asked, “Albert, why are
you here?”

Aletta greeted him with a smile, “Instructor, long time no see!”
Professor Albert nodded and said, “I was actually nning to contact youter. But since you’re here, it
saves me the trouble of finding you.”
Lewis realized that there was likely something important since he came. He said to the man, “Let’s talk
in my office?”
“No problem,” Professor Albert agreed.
The three of them then moved to the office and took their seats.
Professor Albert directly stated his purpose, saying, “In about a month, the World Medical League will
hold a medical seminar, and several groups of students will participate together. Our group has been
selected this time.”
Lewis and Aletta had no objections upon hearing this. The Medical League held arge–scale medical
seminar every year.

“Why is it earlier this year? If I remember correctly, the medical seminar was always held at the end of
the year,” Aletta voiced her doubts.
Professor Albert nced at her and his tone turned more serious than before. “Originally, it was indeed
scheduled for the end of the year. But recently, there has been cirction of banned drugs in the
market. Which the League’s higher–ups take seriously, hence the earlier schedule.”
Upon hearing this, Aletta and Lewis exchanged a nce. But they didn’t mention the matter of the

Lewis was teased for a while but then replied resignedly, “Got it.”
After some more banter, Albert left quickly. Once the door closed, Lewis looked at Aletta and said, “This
conferencees at a good time. With so many senior experts in the industry gathering together, it
might help us progress faster!”
Aletta nodded, unable to deny that. However, another worry emerged uncontrobly from the depths of
her heart.
“I wonder if we can hold on until that time!”
