“Eunice, where did you go?” A voice startled her immediately when she walked into the house.
She looked at the living room and saw her mother, grandmother and even her brother who was rarely a
home was present.
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be at thepany now that it was said that thepany
wasn’t in trouble because of you?” Eunice said angrily as she didn’t feel like talking to Damien.
Although she had always been afraid of the man, she wasn’t afraid of him this time as she felt as if
she could hate him just the same way she hated Amandā.
“Is this the way you talk to your older brother now that you don’t need anything from him?” Damien
asked as he snorted showing clearly that he was quite displeased with her.
“What? Just because you remembered us you think that I wille running to your arms? I am not a
two-year-old baby for goodness sake. Also, you gave Marie a lot of money but couldn’t give it to your
sister yet you think that I will greet you with a smile? You got to be kidding me!” Eunice said angrily as
she couldn’t believe where he got the nerve from.
“Eunice!” a cold yet stern voice said making her shut up.
“Where did you go? I was informed that you didn’t even have breakfast. Your brother has been worrie
about you that he hasn’t gotten out of the house today,” her mother, Harriet said hoping that her
daughter would be d to hear that her brother loved and cared so much for her.
“What? He now got time for me, huh? Sadly, I have no time to waste on him,” Eunice said coldly
making Damien feel as if he had been pierced.
“Youngdy, if you don’t mind yournguage then you can just go back to where you’vee from!”
their grandmother said as she felt as if she was going to suffer from a headache.
“Eunice, please tell me that you didn’t go out to find trouble with Amanda,” Damien said as he knew his
sister’s character and anger better than anyone else.
After all, he was the one who had always cleaned up the mess she had always left behind.

“Well, my dear brother really knows me so well but don’t worry about me. What you should be worrie
about is whether you will be able to keep your position as I don’t mind taking it now after
everything that happened. If it weren’t for your stup id fiancée who went to cause trouble, would I

making Damien remain silent as he knew that whatever had happened wasn’t his sister’s fault.
“I am sorry,” Damien said in a low soft voice shocking everyone present.
Nheless, Eunice snorted before taking a seat opposing him.
“For your position in thepany, you can’t even haste to apologize huh? If I had known earlier, I
would have always used that threat as a bargaining chip for many things,” Eunice said with a wicked
smile on her face.
“What Eunice said previously is true. It was your fault that thepany was oppressed or should I say
your so-called fiancée!” Old Mrs Scott said making Damien have a bad feeling about what she was
saying.
“Did that woman think that I am stu pi d and would believe everything that she said? I am not a fool!
Furthermore, when Eunice walked in, she told us about what Marie had done thus how could it be tha
the Andersons were punishing Eunice instead of Miss Lopez?” She continued making Eunice give her
confused look.
“My dear child, you have been wronged so much. Damien, I hope that you still aren’t going to get
married to such a person cause if you do or continue having any rtionship with her, I will stripe off
your position and you can never get it back. Eunice will be the one taking over it,” Old Mrs
Scott said coldly.

“Grandma, what’s going on? Why are you mad at my brother?” Eunice asked as she was confused.
Also, although she had been speaking against him, she still loved her brother more than she loved
anyone else and didn’t n on taking what was his.
“Do you know why the Andersons oppressed thepany and why that woman said it was because of
you?’ Old Mrs Scott asked as she wasn’t nning on hiding anything from Eunice as she knew her
granddaughter’s temper.
“No,” Eunice said as she shook her head.

“Grandma, I really didn’t do it,” Eunice said as she cried as she couldn’t believe what she heard.
She knew that since her grandmother had said so, it had to be true as she knew thetter had
investigated everything when she heard Marie’s words.
“I know dear. Your phone was used to talk to them but the card your brother gave to Marie was used in
making the payments,” old Mrs Scott said shocking Eunice once more.
She wasn’t a fool and could understand what her grandmother was saying. However, she didn’t want i
to be the truth.
“Are you trying to say that Marie nned on using me as a scapegoat but she forgot and used her card
making her agendas known?” Eunice asked as she denied everything.

Seeing her sister’s doubting face, Damien felt heartbreak as he knew that what happened was a blow

“It is true! That’s why I lectured her in the office but I didn’t expect her to fake a faint when I
was asking her why she did that thus I first rushed her to the hospital,” Damien said making Eunice’s
face turn pale.
