“Damien, I have said I am sorry. I have told them that because I was afraid of you. I know how much
you love thepany and don’t want to lose it. I am sorry, I didn’t mean to,” Marie said as she cried
and at the same time she was afraid that Damien might forsake her because of what she had
done.
Damien didn’t say anything but only looked at her.
“Even if it seemed that I was going to lose thepany. I wasn’t going to lose it. Anyways, how can I
me you when you aren’t part of our family to know all the rules?” Damien asked with a wicked smile
but Marie gritted her teeth out of hatred.
She wished that she could retort and say something that could hurt him in the process but her mind
was nked and filled with hatred and anger.
“Can you tell me that rule?” She asked in a low soft tone but Damien shook his head.
“If it were before, I would have told you all the rules so that you can familiarize yourself with
them but now, I don’t see the need to do so,” Damien said as he was already angry with her and at the
same time, he didn’t want to wound her so much with his words.
“I am leaving but if something happens to Eunice, I will make you regret it,” Damien said coldly before
picking up his coat that was on the coat hunger, and phone on the bed and turning around to
leave.
Marie looked at the figure and her hands clenched into a fist.
‘Eunice! Damien is mine! How can he love you so much than he loves me? Why is he so concerned ab
you that he can’t even forgive me? I will make you regret for what has happened today!” Marie shouted
coldly and with a lot of hatred.
“I want you to carry an investigation on what happened to Amanda in Riverside City,” Old Mrs Scott
said to her butler who was confused.
“Madam, I am afraid that you should be concerned about Eunice’s wellbeing as she seemed to be
shocked after hearing what Miss Lopez said,” the butler replied as he was so concerned about his
young miss.

Marie had asked her to side with her and kill Amanda but Eunice refused as she had never thought of
murdering Amanda despite their arguments and quarrels, Now tell me, if Eunice wanted to kill Amanda
shouldn’t she have agreed to Marie’s offer?” Old Mrs Scott asked making the butler silent as he knew
that what his madam was saying was true.
Harriet who was descending the stairs came from upstairs as she had followed Eunice cause she was
