wanted topensate for her losses. Yet, he seemed to have found a newpanion within a matter
of days. Judging by the content of his text message, it almost sounded like he was showing off. He
talked about being extremely happy, and he imed that he had known the other woman for a while,

Cindy rubbed Aurora''s arm tofort her. "It''s good that this guy found someone else. He''ll only cause
more trouble for you if he stays. I pity the woman he''s with now."
Aurora let out a long sigh. "I still feel rather uneasy. It doesn''t matter if I''m sad about this, but I can''t
help but feel somewhat disgusted toward this matter."
"That guy is pretty disgusting." Cindy let out an exasperated chuckle. Ian walked over while they were
talking to each other. "I''m done. Let''s go," he said. Aurora''s troubles weren''t especially concerning, and
both Cindy and Aurora came to an understanding after they exchanged nces with one another. They
decided that Ian didn''t have to know about anything.
"Okay. Let''s go." Cindy walked over to help with one of the bags. Logan had already stopped his car
outside the airport to wait for them. Although he was a father-to-be, he still seemed as anxious as ever.

He stood by the side of his car as he looked all over the ce in search of familiar faces.
When he saw Ian, he immediately waved his arms and shouted, "Here! Over here! Ian!"
Cindy was no longer as reserved as she used to be in front of Logan, and she greeted him heartily.
"I''ve booked the hotels, so I''ll send you guys over there now. The engagement party will be hosted in
that same hotel, and I''ve already chosen the hall and decorated the ce. You guys can go rest in your
rooms for a while before we take a look at the hall in the evening," Logan suggested.
"Thanks, brother." Ian patted Logan on the shoulder.
"There''s no need to be so polite. It''s a small matter," Logan replied. "I''ve prepared both of your outfits
as well. They''re in the room that I''ve booked, so you guys will see it when you enter the roomter."
Then, Logan turned to look at Aurora. "Is anything the matter, Madam Peyton? Are you tired? You don''t
seem too happy." Although Logan was sometimes a careless man, he was still observant in such
situations, and he could tell that Aurora wasn''t her usual self.
Aurora forced a smile. "I do feel pretty tired. I slept on the way here, but it wasn''t veryfortable
sleeping on the ne."
Logan understood what she meant. "I understand. That''s why I don''t like traveling. I don''t mind taking
road trips, but I hate taking flights. Your ears hurt when you get up into the sky, and it''s hard to eat and
sleep on the ne. You poor thing." Logan was still as talkative as before.
Ian chuckled before interrupting to ask about L. The moment Logan began talking about his wife and
the child he was expecting, he seemed more excited than ever. "I''m treating her like she''s the queen of
a nation now. She orders me around every day. Life is definitely good for her. Hahaha! She no longer
takes me seriously nowadays. She even made me sleep in the guest room yesterday! I was furious, but
I didn''t dare to say much. You have no idea how hard life is for me right now, Ian!"
Cindy grinned when she heard Logan''s words. Logan doesn''t seem like he''s having a hard time at all.
He looks especially happy talking about this. Cindy felt a surge of envy as she thought about Logan''s
family. She wanted something as stable as theirs.
The car brought them to the five-star hotel Logan had booked. Just the exterior of the building told
them that it must have cost a lot. Although Cindy and Ian weren''t legally together, she was already
starting to feel concerned about the money that had been spent. If they were going to end up getting
married, then Ian''s money would be her money in the future.
