    Cindy felt likeughing whenever she uttered such words. I carry so many burdens with me. Anyone

    Ian shifted his gaze to look at her. “Yeah. It’s true.”


    She let out a heartyugh. “I was kidding.” Both of them were starting to get along—their interactions


    were more natural now and they no longer felt awkward. Ian turned the TV on and switched to a


    random channel that happened to be ying a show that did deep dives into all sorts of gossip within


    the entertainment industry.


    Most of the people in the entertainment industry had things to hide. It wasn’t just the entertainment


    industry—most people had dark secrets or nasty experiences. If one truly wished to scrutinize each


    individual, there wouldn’t be a person who waspletely innocent. However, one’s deeds were


    magnified when one was in the entertainment industry. For example, the issues brought up in the TV


    program that Ian and Cindy were watching wouldn’t be an issue if a regr individual were to do it.


    However, the celebrities would receive all sorts of snarky and criticalments once their deeds were


    exposed. “Tsk. These things don’t have much of an entertainment value, yet the media and press are


    always keeping an eye on these celebrities and following them around,” Cindymented.


    Ian nodded. “Yeah. These people are the ones saying that the local celebrities are ruining the country’s


    reputation, yet they are the ones who areing up with all these reports surrounding the


    entertainment industry. It’s like they’re shooting themselves in the foot. I don’t know when I’ll leave this


    industry. I’ve thought about it, and I don’t think there’s much of a reason for me to stay here. I feel like


    all of my actions are being watched—how am I supposed to survive like this? I just hope that I’ll be able


    to save up some funds so that I can do what I want to do.”


    “What do you want to do?” Cindy turned to look at him. Ian recalled how he used to travel around and


    perform gigs in different bars. He was much happier back then. “I’d like to find someone who’s not in


    the entertainment industry, and I’d like to go somece that’s less economically developed with her. I

    After the fight that urred with Linda in the lounge, it only took half a day for the rumors to spread. It


    wasn’t clear where the rumors came from, but the rumors were certainly not reflective of the truth.


    Instead, the rumors imed that Cindy used her position as Ian’s girlfriend to act all haughty and


    arrogant within thepany.


    Furthermore, the rumors imed that Cindy was the one who started the fight with Linda, all because


    Linda had made noises and disrupted Cindy’s sleep in the lounge. Some rumors even imed that


    Cindy was the one who had smacked Linda’s assistant in the face.


    The rumors traveled all around town as if it was the truth. Because of this, Ian’s fame, which had been


    diminishing, shot back up once more. However, the attention he received this time wasn’t exactly


    positive nor supportive. Apart from Ian’s most loyal fans, who would unconditionally support and


    understand anything that Ian or Cindy did, most fans were slightly critical of Ian.


    The fact that Ian had gotten famous in such a short period of time made it harder for him to uphold his

    Ian had just gotten off a call with Hannah, who had spoken to him in a harsh tone. “Hannah said that
