    In the car, L stared at the rear-view mirror and noticed her mother kept looking at them. She clicked


    her tongue at that. “I don’t understand why my parents like you that much.”


    Loganughed. “Your parents have great taste. Why don’t you learn from them and date me?”

    He sent L back home before going to his club. When he came inside, he saw Lorraineing down


    from the second floor, and he stopped humming. “What brings you here, Lorraine?” He quickly went up

    take my calls, and your employees said they don’t know where you are, so I went up to look for you.

    Loganughed. “My phone’s dead.” He didn’t bring his power bank, since that visit to the Hunts came


    up suddenly.


    Lorraine red at him. “Someone looks happy. Did something good happen?”

    tried to call you back for dinner, but you didn’t take any calls. And then your phone was dead.”


    Logan scratched his head. He didn’t hear anyone calling him the previous day, and he had forgotten


    about his father’s discharge. After a moment of thought, he said, “Why don’t I go back tonight then?


    Something came up yesterday, and it needed my attention. Can’t do anything about my phone dying,


    can I? Why don’t I go for dinner tonight? And I’ll bring someone along to make it up.”
