    Logan nodded. “Yes. Your dad had a lot to drink, so he went to sleep after we’re done with dinner.”


    L red at him. “You just had to entertain him. He would have stopped if you excused yourself.”

    L gulped and went outside. “Let’s talk outside, then.”


    At this, Logan put his hands in his pockets and followed her out. Everyone slept early in viges,


    leaving only silence in the night. Besides, neon lights were nowhere to be seen, so darkness shrouded

    L blushed at the question, but the night kept it out of Logan’s sight. She snorted. “Why do you care?


    Not like it has anything to do with you.”


    “Of course it has something to do with me. I can woo you if you’re single, but if you’re not, then I’ll have


    to break you up with that guy first.”


    L pursed her lips, and she was at a loss for words. Her hunch told her that if she kept talking,


    everything would spin out of control. At the same time, Logan stared at her unblinkingly.
