Chapter 69: Yu Minng “Protected” by Female Boss
Trantor: 549690339
Someone was banging on the door forcefully, apanied by a flurry of curses.
Yu Minng gestured for Xiao Qian to step back and went to open the door.
Li Zhen held a bottle of alcohol in one hand and knocked forcefully on the door with the other, reeking of alcohol and his eyes zed over.
As soon as Yu Minng opened the door, Li Zhen swung the bottle at his head, but Yu Minng subdued him with a swift move, then kicked him in the chest, sending Li Zhen stumbling into the house.
“Yu, youngest brother, you’re not a human being!”
“What the hell are you doing in the middle of the night?” Yu Minng went to Xiao Qian’s side as Li Zhen got up from the ground.
With bloodshot eyes, he pointed at Yu Minng and screamed.
“I’m your cousin, cousin! How could you treat me like this!”
The arson case had been solved, and the culprits confessed that Ni Jianren was the mastermind, causing a big scandal.
Though it didn’t cause serious consequences, it endangered public safety. The area was densely popted with residential homes. Even if it didn’t constitute arson, deliberately damaging property was an inescapable offence.
Ni Jianren was utterly ruined.
Li Zhen had originally intended to use his connections to bail out Jianren, but he was locked up at home and beaten by his uncle, who imposed strict penalties upon him.
Tomorrow, Li Zhen would be sent to work in the most remote and northern areas. There, he would not only have to endure harsh environmental conditions but also be deprived of a privileged material life. Unable to find a ce to y, he would be bored out of his mind.
Li Zhen med Yu Minng for all of this – if he hadn’t made a scene at home, would his father have even known about it?
Yu Minng sneered at Li Zhen’s usations.
“Isn’t it because you got involved with that effeminate homosexual, who started the fire at my girl’s house first?”
“Who did he burn to death? You people ruined his life, Yu Minng, are you even human?!”
Li Zhen was furious as he thought about his lover, who was about to face impending imprisonment.
“Li Zhen, don’t me Yu Minng. If he’s not a person, you are not even a dog!”
Xiao Qian pulled Yu Minng away and stood in front of Li Zhen. For the first time, Yu Minng was pulled behind a woman, and he savored the feeling of being “protected.” It wasn’t bad at all.
“If you’re upset, can you just set things on fire? Do you have to cause someone’s death to admit you were wrong? Why is it that everyone else in the world can’t be ruined, but Ni Jianren can?!”
As Xiao Qian said this, she thought of her past life.
When Ni Jianren was arrested by the police, he cried and knelt on the ground, iming that he only wanted to make some money and didn’t intend to harm Xiao Wei.
The crudest things in the world resulted from him, yet as he faced retribution, he appeared innocent. Innocent, my ass!
“It’s you, this woman! You wicked-hearted woman! You ruined Jianren!” Li Zhen looked at Xiao Qian, enraged, intending to grab her but was pped aside by Yu Minng.
“Don’t act like a mad dog, biting anyone you see. She’s my girlfriend now, and if you dare touch a single hair on her head, I’ll beat you so hard your own parents won’t recognize you!”
“Girlfriend…haha, so you two were already tangled up together. You despicable man and woman!” Li Zhen finally understood why Yu Minng stormed into his house in the middle of the night, revealing the truth behind his rtionship with Jianren!
Yu Minng wanted to retaliate as he heard the insults towards him and Xiao Qian, but Xiao Qian pushed him aside and said, “You stand by, don’t block me!” She raised her hand and pped Li Zhen’s face, skewing it.
“What do you mean tangled up together? Say it again!” Yu Minng was the father of her child!
“You seduced Jianren, and now you’re seducing Yu Minng. What else can you do besides using men to do things for you?”
In Li Zhen’s heart, Xiao Qian was the most evil person in the world.
“Ha, I used that bitch? What did I use him for? Let me make it clear – he was the one who hid his sexual orientation first. What’s there to seduce about him? His trashy character, sleazy personality, shameless tactics, or his Crystal-cold Silver Needle?”
Xiao Qian’s words were sharp as des.
Crystal-cold Silver Needle… Yu Minng wanted tough but held it in due to the inappropriate asion.
He liked this description.
“It’s because of your family’s greed. You voluntarily married him for the betrothal gifts. You’re both buyers and sellers – you deserve each other!”
Li Zhen’s words wiped the smile off Yu Minng’s face. He stepped forward and kicked Li Zhen in the chest.
“What do you both think marriage is? You nearly ruined her life, and you still think you’re right?”
As he thought of Xiao Qian, almost unwittingly marrying “Crystal-cold Silver Needle,” Yu Minng could feel a nameless fire growing within him.
“Yu Minng, you’re taking a woman’s side against your own family. Can you have any backbone?!” Li Zhen couldn’t fight Yu Minng or scold Xiao Qian. His anger found no outlet, so he vented it by roaring.
“I have a lot of family members. Who’s like you…ahem, who has no proper business?” Realizing he was about to curse in front of his beloved girl, Yu Minng hastily stopped himself.
He nced at Xiao Qian using the corner of his eye. She was looking straight ahead, oblivious to his slip-up, which made him feel relieved.
Right, he mustn’t let this good boyfriend image copse. Step back, step back, let Xiao Qian handle it.
Inside, Xiao Qian had her true reaction to Yu Minng’s near outburst: Ugh -_
“What gives you the right to discriminate against homosexuals? I like men, what’s wrong with that? Can I choose my sexual orientation? I’ve known since I was a child that I don’t like women – is that wrong?”
Li Zhen was furious at the half-sentence that Yu Minng didn’t renounce.
His sexual orientation had always been looked down upon. Even finding love had to be done secretly and sneakily. Why did every other couple have the right to walk hand-in-hand in broad daylight, embrace, kiss, and do anything they wanted to do?
Why did he and the person he loved have to act like thieves? The sound of his father’s roar echoed in his ears.
You good-for-nothing!
You’re a pervert!
For many years, he had to carefully bear the strange looks of others. Was it because he loved a man that he deserved this treatment?
Why did God create people like him? Why?!
“Although the concept in our country hasn’t been liberalized enough to ept homosexual behavior, and many people think that homosexuality is a disease, I will tell you from a professional standpoint that it’s not a disease or a neurological problem.”
Yu Minng raised an eyebrow. Where was Xiao Qian from, and why was she kindly saying this? Instead of criticizing Li Zhen, she was whitewashing him?
As it turned out, Xiao Qian’s sympathy for the enemy was as unlikely as the sky raining red rain.. How could it be possible?!
