Chapter 2092 The Impression She Gave

The girl hummed in response and sat still by the side. On the other hand, her assistant sorted out the

makeup kit and other such things before staking out a seat as well.

From the looks of it, the assistant and the girl weren''t on close terms at all. They hardly spoke a word to

each other, which could mean that their rtionship was strictly business.

Cindy went on to scroll through her phone, and the girl fished hers out as well. No conversation was

made, and the lounge was silent for a while.

Valerie''spany had not tried to nip the rumors in the bud, and the public took theirck of both

confirmation and denial as proof of their stance on the matter. Mostpanies woulde up with a

statement as soon as rumors started circting, but silence, more often than not, conveyed their

    admission.

Cindy was rather happy about this, and she pulled up the guy''s information to read through it in earnest

    once again.

The guy was practically an unknown character, and to some extent, he might be even considered

bottom-tier in the industry. That said, the content he had posted on his social media ount thus far

belied his cheerful disposition, and he didn''t seem to have a bad reputation.

The media had dug up some stuff about him, and there was nothing significant other than the fact that

    he was a minor celebrity.

All in all, to have a career in the entertainment industry that was not littered with bad press and

    scandals was good enough.

Besides, Valerie probably had her reasons that exined her feelings for this guy.

Presently, Cindy browsed through all thetest trending news and finally kept her phone.

Ian had not yet returned from his talk with Hannah, although Cindy wasn''t sure what that was about.

It was only after leaving thepany and building a new life of her own that Cindy suddenly realized

the appeal of a normal day job.

If she had topare, she would much prefer a nine-to-five job. She could get off work as soon as she

was done with her tasks, and she had the rest of the day to herself to do whatever she liked. More

importantly, she didn''t have to worry about being recognized when she got off work, and her every

move would not be scrutinized so heavily that it might make or break her future promotions and career.

Cindy stayed in the lounge for a while, but the silence eventually got on her nerves and made her

restless. As such, she stood up and walked out.

There weren''t a lot of people out in the hallway as she slowly made her way down it. There was a

board where thepany had pinned up several pictures of the artists they represented, and it was

sort of their way of promoting the top-tier artists, Ian being one of them. Cindy walked up to the board

and stood next to it as she scanned the pictures.

She remembered that Ian''s picture was not the one on the board right now, and she wondered when

thepany had decided to change it.

In actuality, Ian didn''t have many promotional pictures. He didn''t like having his pictures taken, and

most times on the job, he was only obliging for the sake of his work. If one had to be brutally honest, he

wasn''t particrly responsible either, and if this were a normal nine-to-five job, he would be theziest

    employee of the bunch.

At the thought of this, Cindyughed. She supposed it was a good thing that Ian had celebrity status

which allowed him to do as he pleased.

She was still standing next to the board when someone came up to her suddenly. Cindy quickly turned

to see who it was, only to realize that it was a senior in thepany. Moreover, her senior was a rather

capable one at that. She nodded hastily in acknowledgment as she greeted, "Hello."

The senior was a man, and he was standing next to her as he assessed Ian''s picture on the board. He

hummed and said, "I heard you found work in anotherpany."

She smiled ruefully and said, "I did, and I''m working a nine-to-five job now."

He nodded before turning to look at her. "That''s good, though I still think it''s a shame that you left. I told

Hannah that I had nned on bringing you in as an employee under me, but I guess I''m toote to

    offer you that option, huh?"

Cindy was a little stunned. In all frankness, she had never spoken to this senior before, and they were

    practically strangers before today.

Perhaps sensing her astonishment, the man chuckled and exined, "I remember you because you

made an impression, but you might have no recollection of me whatsoever."

    N?velDrama.Org owns ? this.

She raised a brow when she heard this. "That much is true. After all, being forgetful is my besetting

sin." She was saying this to keep the conversation between them going, for she wanted to know just

what impression she had given him.
