Chapter 1691
Chapter 1691 The Imminent Break-up
Logan had never been one to give sage advice to another. He was the life of the party, but imparting
wisdom and running intervention were never his strong suit. For him toe up with all these must
have been an inordinately difficult feat.
Ian raised the cup and took a sip of his tea, then decidedly changed the subject by asking, “So when
are you going home? Your wife can’t just lock you out of the house and have you wandering around
like this all day, can she?”
In truth, Logan had no idea when he should be getting home either. L’s hostility toward him was
growing more aggressive each day, and she practically had him wandering around like a vagabond
ever since he came home after having a meal at the Constance Residence thest time.
She was always nagging about how he never took anything seriously. If John could take babysitting
seriously, then by the transitive property, Logan thought staying at home with L would be a show of
responsibility as well.
Presently, he opened and closed his mouth as he ransacked his mind for an answer. “You know what? I
think I’ll call herter. I don’t know if she’ll even let me in the door, but I know I can’t just crash here
tonight.”
Upon hearing this, Cindy couldn’t hide her smile. She had seen the way John and Sophia interacted,
and though he came from the powerful Constance Family, it was clear to see that Sophia was the one
who wore the pants in their rtionship.
All things considered, Logan and L’s rtionship mirrored John and Sophia’s.
At the thought of this, Cindy cast Ian a curious sideways nce. I wonder how he’ll turn out after
marriage, though judging from his circle of friends, I think he’d make a good husband.
The entertainment industry was rife with mor and scandal, and Cindy wondered idly if anyone could
be so lucky as to end up with Ian, who had never been tainted by the dark side of the industry.
They sat for a while before Logan became antsy and insisted on bringing Cindy upstairs, where he kept
his ‘precious’ toy—a 3D projection device.
Cindy nced over at Ian, who jerked his chin, indicating that she should follow Logan. “Go up and
take a gander at the thing, or he might just lose sleep over your rejection. It’s his solemn duty to show
everyone his precious acquisition, after all.”
She let out a good-naturedugh and rose to follow Logan up the staircase.
He led her into his personal 3D projection room and drew the curtains closed, then switched on the
device.
At that moment, Cindy was shocked by the scene that appeared before her, for several people had
materialized in the dimness of the room.
Naturally, these figures were projections and nothing more, but they looked just like the real thing.
Cindy blinked in surprise at the 3D projections of L, Sophia, John, and finally, Ian.
Meanwhile, Logan was chuckling proudly on one side of the room as he teased, “Surprised, aren’t you?
What do you think of this? I believe hyper-realistic is a fitting term, don’t you?”
She nodded slowly, still gaping at the projections. “It sure is.” As she said this, she hesitantly walked up
to the holograms and circled them, appraising the details.
It would make sense that only the rich could afford such sophisticated toys;mon folk like her could
never hope to see stuff like this, let alone own it.
She came to a stop next to Ian’s projection and stared at it briefly, stunned by its intricacy. It was almost
as if she was standing next to the man himself.

Logan sauntered over. “Ian didn’t want me to make a projection of him, but I wore him down with my
insistence at the end and came up with this. I mean, I don’t get why he has to be so anal about it when
everyone has already given me the green light.” He paused in thought, then shed Cindy a grin as he
offered, “Hey, if I have the time, I’d make one of you too.”
He pointed at John and Sophia’s projections, then at L’s and his own. “See, all of us are here, even
Ian. When yours is done, the whole group will beplete.”
The offer left Cindy a little speechless. She wasn’t sure when she and Ian would officially dere their
break-up, but the imminence of it meant that she might never have her hologram made and join the
others’ in this room.
Logan seized her dazed moment and leaned closer to her, feigning innocence as he asked, “Speaking
of which, when are you and Ian going to settle down for good? Marriage aside, have you guys at least
talked about getting engaged?”
She froze and parted her lips to say something, but words deserted her. She wasn’t even sure if Logan
knew about the truth of her rtionship with Ian, so she quickly masked her hesitation with a nervous
chuckle. “Well, I mean, we’re not in a rush. His career is still taking off, and he should focus on it for
now.”
