    Chapter 1670

    Chapter 1670 Jealousy

Both of them sipped on their drinks while chatting. When Cindy casually nced at their surroundings,

she noticed the girl ring at her from afar. The girl was clutching a drink in her hand as she stared

straight at Cindy, not bothering to conceal her hatred toward Cindy.

After a moment of hesitation, Cindy turned to look at Peter. “The girl who handed you a drink earlier…

    Is she your girlfriend?”

“No, no!” Peter froze for a moment before he rified the situation. “That’s one of the members of the

club. I taught her how to y badminton in the past. She’s a pretty fast learner.”

Cindy nodded. “She’s really cute too.”

“Really? I didn’t notice,” Peter replied with augh.

What does he mean by that? The girl’s face is probably the first thing he saw when he first met her,

Cindy thought. Peter tilted his head back and finished his drink before turning around to throw his

empty bottle into the trash can. However, Cindy hadn’t given up on the topic and she continued to talk

about the girl. “A girl as cute as her probably has a lot of admirers.”

Peter raised an eyebrow at this point. “Maybe,” he mumbled. He had made things clear through his

expression and tone of voice—he wasn’t interested in the topic at all. I don’t know if he’s genuinely a

simple-minded guy or if he just processes things in a really slow manner. That girl made her intentions

clear. Any regr guy would have been able to tell that she likes him! Cindy thought.

Once both of them finished their drinks, they headed back to the spot where they had been ying

badminton. Cindy was a slow learner, and she was aware of how horrible her skills were. She tripped

on her own feet every two seconds. Fortunately, Peter was patient with her—he served in a gentle

manner to make things easier for her. After ying for a while more, Cindy’s phone began vibrating in

    her pocket.

She held an arm up to tell Peter to stop before she fished her phone out. It was a call from Aurora.

Cindy turned around to pick up the call. Before she said anything, her gazended on the girl from

earlier. The girl had gone over to the bench and picked up Cindy’s bottle before throwing it into the

    trash can.

Cindy wasn’t mad at the girl—she simply found the girl’s actions rather amusing. This feels like the sort

of thing that an immature high-schooler would do. It’s pretty embarrassing for a full-growndy like her

    to do such a thing.

Aurora didn’t know what was happening on the other end of the line, so she simply cleared her throat to

speak after Cindy picked the call up. “We’re out now, Cindy. Are you awake? Do you want anything to

eat? I can buy you some food.”

“It’s fine,” Cindy replied as she continued staring at the girl in front of her. The girl turned around after

throwing the bottle away, and she realized that Cindy had witnessed her actions. With her body

stiffened, the girl quickly turned her back against Cindy, as if she felt guilty for what she had done.

Eventually, Cindy looked away to focus on her call with Aurora. “I’m not home now, and I don’t really

feel like eating anything in particr. You don’t have to buy me food.”

“Are you not home? Did you go out? Where are you now?” Aurora sounded rather surprised to hear

    this.

Cindy turned to gaze at Peter. “I went out to y badminton.” That was all Cindy needed to say for

Aurora to know where Cindy was and who she was with. After a few seconds of silence, Aurora ended

their conversation. “Alright. We’re heading home now.”

Once the call ended, Cindy ced her phone back into her pocket before she nced at the girl for a

    while more.

The girl had found herself a hiding spot in the crowd. She probably feels too guilty or self-conscious to

appear in front of me now, Cindy decided.

Peter had been waiting for Cindy for a while, so he walked over to check on her. “What is it? What are

    you looking at?”

Cindy chuckled. “It’s nothing. I just thought that those guys there seemed pretty lively and energetic.”

Peter sneaked a look at where Cindy was looking before he responded to her. “Us humans should

have a hint of liveliness in us all the time.” Cindy didn’t reply to him.

Meanwhile, Aurora ended the call and stared at Ian. She let out a sigh without saying anything for a

while. “What’s that look on your face?” Ian was puzzled. “What’s going on? Why are you looking at me

    like that?”

Aurora puckered her lips. “Oh, it’s nothing huge. Cindy’s out to y badminton. On second thought, IPlease check at N/?vel(D)rama.Org.

guess that’s good news. She has always been such a reserved girl, so we should be d that she’s

willing to socialize with other people now.”
