Chapter 1566
Chapter 1566 Aurora’s Exnation
Ian didn’t answer the door until a whileter. It seemed that he had finished washing up.
Cindy said with a sigh, “The matter has gotten a bit serious on the inte. Ms. Jones told us to stay
home today.”
Ian seemed undisturbed, though. “Yeah, the agency called me just now as well. Let’s take today as a
day off, then. As it happens, I’m feeling a little tired.”
Cindy had nothing else to say. After some thought, she turned around, went to the kitchen, and started
making breakfast. She didn’t get too worked up about things. Perhaps she had gotten into an
imperturbable state of mind after going through so many things.
Ian didn’t seem to be affected as well, though he had quite a lot of phone calls to answer. His cell
phone rang not long after he sat down on the sofa, so he turned around and returned to his room to
answer the call. However, his cell phone rang again soon after he came out of his room, so he went
back in again to answer the call.
Ian had few friends, so Cindy surmised that most of these phone calls were from the agency. After
preparing breakfast, she asked Ian toe over for breakfast. Then, she asked, “What did the agency
say? Is the matter tricky to solve? Do you need me to do something?”
Ian waved his hand. “No, that’s not necessary. It seems that the matter hasn’t gotten too serious yet.
Besides, most of the attacks are centered on Yulia.”
The surveince footage had been released as evidence, and it proved that there was nothing wrong
between Ian and Yulia. However, since Yulia didn’te forward and exin herself as soon as news
broke about their meeting, she was nearlybeled as an angelic b*tch.
Cindy hesitated for a while before asking, “Did Yulia contact you? I wonder how things are going on her
side.”
Ian replied right away without trying to hide anything, “She called mest night. It seems that she’s also
having a hard time. Theizens’ opinion isn’t in her favor, after all.”
Cindy nodded. “I wonder how she’s going to handle this.”
Ian didn’t want to care about Yulia, though. It would seem senseless for him to meddle in someone
else’s affairs when he hadn’t had his own problems figured out.
The two stayed at home after having breakfast. Perhaps because something was bothering them,
neither of them was in a good mood. They used to get along well in the past, but they merely sat facing
each other in silence today.
Ian had quite some phone calls to answer. After a while, he went back to his room to answer the
phone, and he’d nevere out since then.

Cindy leaned back on the sofa to watch some TV. Naomi was a little busy, so she merely sent Cindy a
text message that morning, telling her not to take things too hard.
As a matter of fact, Cindy didn’t take anything to heart. Show business was full of drama every single
day, and many of these incidents were more disturbing than what had happened to Ian. She was even
in the mood to watch two variety shows, and she evenughed out loud when the punchline was
delivered.
When it was almost noon, Cindy went to knock on Ian’s door. At first, she wanted to ask him what he
wanted to eat for lunch, but right after she knocked on Ian’s door, she heard a knock on the door to the
apartment. Then, Aurora’s voice rang, asking, “Are you two at home?”
Cindy hurriedly opened the door for Aurora.
Aurora had a pair of sunsses and even a face mask on, which seemed a bit over-the-top. Cindy
waited for her toe in. After closing the door, she asked, “Why did you cover yourself up?”
Aurora let out a sigh before taking off her sunsses and face mask. “I know that few people know me,
but I’m afraid that I’ll cause you trouble by drawing people’s attention when Ie over.”
Cindy smiled a reassuring smile. “It’s okay. Things aren’t that bad.”
Meanwhile, Ian opened the door and came out from his room. He was his usual self when he saw
Aurora. “You’ve seen what’s on the inte? It’s all right. Don’t fret about it.”
Aurora felt somewhat helpless. As she changed her shoes and then went to sit down on the sofa, she
exined, “That woman was already hospitalized due to serious illness when I got together with your
father. It was just that her illness kept dragging on and on.” It was indeed wrong of her to carry on with
a married man, but she had definitely not driven Bryce’s wife to death. She wouldn’t do such a thing no
matter how wicked she was.
