    Chapter 1464 Asking for Help


    Cindy turned to look at Aurora. She talks about everything she has experienced in the past with a

    The two women then chatted about the trivial matters in life as they prepared dinner together. On the

    never fell on it. After pacing for a while, he turned to look at the kitchen. The two women seemed to be

    Ian stared at them for a while. Then, as he had something else on his mind, he turned around and

    Logan answered the phone very quickly with a merryugh, and it sounded like there were several


    people around him. Ian lowered his voice and asked, “Are you busy, Logan?”


    “No, I’ve never been busy,” Logan answered frankly. Then, he continued, “Guess where I am right now


    —I’m at Sophia’s ce, and her son is simply too adorable. I’m telling you, I must have a daughter to


    scourge her son with in the future.”


    “Oh,” Ian responded. “Is that so?”


    “Haha!” Loganughed on the other end of the line. Then, he asked, “What’s up? Why are you calling


    me at this hour? Do you have something to talk to me about?”


    Ian had never stood in ceremony with Logan, so he replied, “Yes, I’d like to ask a favor of you.”


    “Ah,” Logan replied. “Just hold on a minute—I’ll be going outside right away.” Some rustling sounds


    were heard on the other end of the line, followed by the sound of someone’s footsteps. A few seconds


    later, Ian heard Logan say, “Just tell me what it is. Are those b*stards bullying you again on the


    inte? I’ve told you that I have to teach them a lesson. I’m an expert at calling names. I’ll hire some


    trolls tomorrow to give those haters hell.”


    Ianughed for a moment before quickly telling Logan to dismiss the idea. “No, no, that’s not why I’m


    calling you. These matters are already over. Now, there’s something else I’d like to ask for your help


    with. Could you please do me a favor?”


    “Hey!” Logan responded. “Is it necessary for us to say the word ‘please’ to each other? Just tell me how


    I can help you. If I can do it, I promise that I’ll never turn you down.”


    Ian let out a sigh. “It’s my mom. She came to me, saying that she wants to re-enter show business. You


    know what kind of person I am; I have few connections and resources, so I can’t be of much help to


    her. I was wondering if you could help me ask Lorraine to fix her up with some jobs. There’s no need to


    find jobs that pay well. It’s fine as long as my mom gets to show her face.”


    Logan was somewhat surprised. “Why did she go to you? Isn’t she doing well in life for now? She


    should be doing fine by asionally singing in bars in that small town. Is she trying to ride the wave of


    your poprity now that she’s seen how popr you are?”


    Ian paused for a moment before he replied, “She said she had split up with the man and wanted to try


    her luck in show business once again. She told me a lot, but I couldn’t be bothered to analyze whether


    everything she said was true or false. I just think I should help her as much as possible since she’s my


    mom. She probably has been resentful over the years. Now that she’s finally seen a glimmer of hope in


    me, I really don’t have the heart to turn her down tly.”


    Atst, Logan could only reply with a sigh, “Okay, now that you’ve asked me, I’ll definitely help you. I


    just hope that her re-entry into show business won’t have too much impact on you. She hasn’t taken


    good care of you in the past, yet now she wants to ride the wave of your poprity to benefit from it.
