    Logan brought L home straight away without following his father back to the main residence. When they got back, she changed and


    stretched herself in the living room.


    They had spent almost six hours on the road to and fro, and her whole body felt numb. Afterward, she called her mother to inform her that she


    had reached home safely.


    At first, Fiona sounded happy over the phone and reminded her to take care of herself. Then, she lowered her voice to a whisper and asked, “Is

    Sighing, Fiona told her about what happened after they left, including all the details of the things their neighbors had said. “L, you have to
