    “Weston, take him to the hospital!”

    After that, at the hospital. The medics wheeled Roger into the emergency room on a stretcher. Roger


    was unconscious and furrowed his brow hard with his eyes closed. His mind was a blur.


    Ste watched the two doors close and slid down helplessly as she leaned against the wall.


    Weston looked down at her and reached out to pick her up.” Don‘t worry. He‘ll be okay.”

    Ste rested her head on Weston‘s waist and rasped, “I want to be alone...”


    Weston stroked her hair and stopped talking.
