Chapter 1955
Charlie marveled at ine''s spiritual victory method, and at the same time, he breathed a sigh of
relief as the matter had been satisfactorily resolved.
Before this, he was worried most about Carmen exposing his identity. After all, his aunt was always
being so arrogant and cocky in her modus operand!. She would have gotten carried away, and
inadvertently revealed herself as a member of the Wade family. 5
Fortunately, Carmen came up with a tawdry idea by directly giving ine a 100 million cheque,
which caused her to immediately raise a red g and ssify her as a fraud.

Moreover, the word "Citibank" stung the deepest and most painful wound inside ine, resulting in
her direct response to Carmen''s bribe by means of force. 2
At this point, Charlie could not help feeling amused.
This aunt of his had been living in a prosperous and privileged environment in Eastcliff for so many
years that she was used to being treated with respect everywhere she went. However, never did
she expect that she would fail miserably in Aurous Hill.
Moreover, she was defeated by ine, i
Thinking about it, she must have learnt some lessons through this incident. 4
In the midst of his thoughts, Charlie suddenly received a message on his phone. When he clicked
on i t, it was a video message from Albert. From the looks o f the video''s thumbnail, it was taken in a
small shabby room, and Carmen was standing in front of the camera with an agitated expression.
He knew that Albert should have settled Carmen down, so he immediately got up and went to the
bathroom before clicking on the video.
The video began to y and Albert''s voice echoed," Master Wade, look. This is the room I''ve
prepared for your aunt in a shantytown of Cliffcouls."
He could see from the video that it was a small room o f probably less than twenty square meters
large. There was nothing else in the dpidated room except for a bed, a simple closet, a desk, and
a chair. 5
This self-built house was in poor condition, but each room came with an attached bathroom, so at
least the tenants did not have to queue for the public washroom.
However, the poor little bathroom looked very simple and it was dimly lit. As for the toilet, there was
no toilet seat, but thendlord installed a configuration of a very cheap squatting toilet.
Standing in the middle of the room with a depressed face, Carmen whined in exasperation, "Let
Charlie look at this! How can I live in this shitty ce?"
Albert said in a cold voice while shooting the video,"
What''s wrong with this ce? Master Wade used to live in construction sites for years. They were
much worse than here. If he can live in a ce like that, why can''t you?"
Carmen growled furiously, "Don''tpare me with him! I''ve never experienced a single day of
hardship i n the forty years of my life!"
Albert smirked coldly and said, "Congrattions then! From now on, your seven days of dream
cruise will begin. Didn''t you say that you''ve never experienced hardship before? I''ll let you taste
every bit of it in the next seven days!" 5
Then, Albert turned to the phone and said, "Master Wade, how do you find this room? Is it up to
your standard? If you think this is rather superior, I''ll find a worse one!"
Upon hearing that, Charlie broke into amusingughter. 1
Despite his young age, after going through arduous life outside for so many years and meeting
people from all walks of life, he understood human nature better than anyone else.
Therefore, he liked to punish evil people from the root of humanity.
For example, Jordan Weaver of Weaver Pharmaceuticals had always looked down on Liam’s
mother, who was from Mount Golmin. He not only turned her life upside down but also bad-mouthed
her even after she died. People like him, from the root of humanity, were rotten to the core. 2
In this case, letting him settle at Mount Golmin for the rest of his life was the best punishment for
him, and also the best way of atonement for his sins.
