Chapter 1872
The next day, ire woke up early before going to thepany to work.
After eating the breakfast prepared by ine, Charlie spent the whole day thinking about Carmen.
Ever since Stephen found him, the Wade family had never shown up or appeared directly in his life.
As for Charlie, he really enjoyed and liked this situation where he did not have to deal with anyone
from the Wade family at all.
However, if Carmen was going to break the silence between him and the Wade family this time,
then this could only mean that the Wade family had already begun their n to try and win him over.
No matter what it was and no matter what their intentions were, they did not want Charlie to
continue remaining in Aurous Hill.
Even if he were to reject and turn down his aunt''s request after meeting her today, the Wade family
would not give up just like that.
It seemed as though the Wade family would be a long-term trouble for him in future.

At 5.30 pm, Charlie told his mother-inw, ine, that he had something on tonight and he would
not be
having dinner at home. 2
After that, he left the house alone before he took a cab t 0 Shangri-La.
Property of N?)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
Isaac had initially offered to drive and pick him up but Charlie turned him down immediately. 4
The Wade family had always believed that Isaac was one of their men. If Isaac was too attentive
and solicitous towards him at this time, then the Wade family might find out about this abnormality. 5
When Charlie arrived at the entrance of the dining area at Shangri-La, he saw that Isaac was
already waiting there in person.
When Isaac saw that Charlie had already arrived, he immediately stepped forward and said
respectfully," Young Master, you are here."
Charlie nodded before he asked him, "Where is my aunt? Is she here already?"
"Yes, she is here." Isaac wiped the sweat off his forehead before he whispered, "Your aunt said that
she is a little exhausted. So, I arranged for a spa specialist to go up to her hotel room to serve her.
She should be done in about half an hour." 5
Charlie smiled faintly before he said, "Alright then. Why don''t you bring me to our private room first
then?"
Isaac hurriedly replied, "Both of you will be having dinner at the Sky Garden tonight."
Charlie could not help but frown when he heard this. H e remembered the Sky Garden-it was where
the wedding ceremony that he prepared for ire was held.
Sky Garden was a huge banquet hall with no rooms and it was only surrounded by translucent
ss all around. Only top members from Shangri-La would usually dine there, so if they chose to
eat there, they would inevitably be seen by the other guests then. 2
So, Charlie asked Isaac, "Will there be many guests dining there tonight? If a lot of people see me
having dinner with her and recognize her, then it is possible that my identity will be revealed." 1
Isaac shrugged before he smiled and said, "Don''t worry. Shangri-La has already cleared the entire
dining area for the night. There will be no other guests dining in the private rooms outside or in the
Sky Garden tonight."
Charlie asked in surprise, "Wouldn’t it be enough to simply clear the Sky Garden? Do you also have
to clear the private rooms, the Oskian restaurant, and the Western restaurant outside?"
"Yes." Isaac replied, "The crew from the dining department will only be serving you and your aunt
tonight." 2
Charlie replied awkwardly, "There’s no need to be so high-profile, right? We could simply have
dinner together in a more luxurious private room, right?" 2
Isaac lowered his voice before he whispered in Charlie''s ear, "Young Master, you might not know
this but your aunt had always been like this." i
As he spoke, Isaac said again, "Your aunt has always felt that she is way above everyone else.
Moreover, she has always looked down on third-tier cities such as Aurous Hill. It is actually very
insulting for her to be eating with any of the locals in a restaurant in a third-tier city like this..." 7
"What is she trying to prove?" Charlie replied in disgust. "No matter how great she thinks she is; she
still has to lead an ordinary daily routine just like everyone else, right? So, what''s the point of her
going around requesting this kind of special treatment then?"
