Chapter 1503
Yule pulled Charlie to sit next to him.
As soon as they took their seat, he immediately said to Charlie warmly, "Charlie,e, let''s eat first.
I hope the food is to your liking. Otherwise, I''ll have them make other dishes for you."
Charlie quickly said, "Uncle Golding, it''s okay. I''ll have what you have."
Yule nodded and started asking Charlie about what he had been doing over the years.
Charlie did not have much to hide from the Golding family except for the Apocalyptic Book-the
secret that was buried deep in his heart. He basically told them everything else truthfully, including
about his life before he turned eighteen, his life experience after eighteen, his acquaintance with
Lord Wilson, his marriage to ire, and his life after marriage.
The more Yule and Rachel listened to Charlie''s illustration of his past, the more heartbroken and
sorry they were. In their eyes, Charlie was, after all, a direct descendant of the Wade family. Back
then, his father was the brightest rising star of the family. Reasonably speaking, Charlie should have
lived an extravagant andfortable life. However, in reality, h e had experienced constant
hardship and despair in the outside world since he was a child.
After hearing Charlie’s illustration, Yule heaved a long sigh and asked, "Charlie, what do you want
to do now? Are you ready to go back to the Wade family to meet your grandfather and the rest of
the family members?”
Charlie shook his head. "Honestly speaking, Uncle Golding, I don''t have any ns yet. In fact, I''ve
suspected that the Wade family has something to do with my parents'' death and they would remain
the suspects in the murder of my parents until I find out the truth, so no, I’m not ready to go back
and meet them just yet." s
Yule said in an earnest tone, "Charlie, listen to me. It’s alright if you don''t want to return to the Wade
family o r meet the family members, but you mustn’t turn against them." 4
Charlie replied in a simr earnest tone, "It''s not up to me if we''ll turn against each other, but it
depends on the truth instead. If they really murdered my parents, how can I not take revenge for my
own parents?"
Yule sighed and slowly said, "What happened back then...to be frank, I haven''t found a single clue
as to whether your parents were victimized by the people i n the same profession. I don’t have any
evidence yet." 7
Charlie said, "At the very least, I''m certain that my parents were forced to leave Eastcliff because of
the Wade family''s exclusion. If it weren''t for them, my parents wouldn''t have died in Aurous Hill."
Yule nodded gently. "You''re right, this was how the
tragedy began. The Wade family should indeed take a certain amount of responsibility for your
parents’ death."
Then, he added with a persuasive tone, "Charlie, you said that the Wade family authorized Stephen
to give you apany with a market value of hundreds of billions of dors as well as ten billion in
cash. In my opinion, this should be the family''spensation to you or to your parents. Although
these assets and cash aren’t a big amount ording to the family''s worth, it can be considered
their goodwill. If you don''t want to go back to the Wade family, these assets are enough for you to
livefortably for the rest of your life. You''ve suffered for so many years. It''s time for you to enjoy
your life and stop dwelling on the past..."This belongs to N?velDrama.Org: ?.
