Chapter 1775
"What did you tell Daniel, you wretched girl?"
Chace struggled to break free from the police and almost lunged toward Cam, his anger echoing like
thunder.
"You orchestrated everything! It has nothing to do with me or your mother! Admit it, or face dire
consequences!"
Belonging ? N?velDram/a.Org.
Cam met his gaze, observing the fury in his eyes as he portrayed himself like a clown before
everyone. He
used her of the crimes, denouncing her as unworthy due to her status as an adopted child and
contending that
shecked the Quimbys'' supposed good genes.
Finally, he eximed, "It was all arranged by her! Daniel, believe me! Cam is just an outsider! She
incited us to
evade taxes, create fake ounts, embezzle public funds... It was all her doing!"
Despite her mental preparedness, Cam felt a chill in her heart as her adoptive parents threw her out
like a shield
before the onlookers.
Unable to contain herself, she rushed to grab a document from the table and aimed it at Chace,
plunging the
meeting room into more chaos.
Security guards attempted to intervene, but Daniel signaled them to halt with a cough.
It wasn''t until Cam and Chace were injured from the confrontation that Daniel slowly approached.
In a sorry state, both of them prostrated before him like defeated prisoners, devoid of any dignity.
Yet, Chace remained defiant. "This wretched girl... This treacherous wench!"
Cam spat at him.
Chace attempted to p her, but before his hand could reach her, Daniel stepped on it.
"Ah!"
Daniel sneered. "Uncle Chace, your dog-eat-dog show is over. Now, you and Aunt Nadine should go
where you
belong!"
The police pulled them up from the floor, dragging them out.
Nadine had already turned pale while Chace continued his desperate struggle.
As he was being taken away, he shouted back, "Daniel, there''s something you don''t know, right? Heh!
That woman
you once took care of, this wretched girl is the one who caused her suffering! She killed your child
too..."
Daniel''s gaze darkened, a hint of killing intent surfacing on his face.
It turned out the whole world knew, except him.
Chace''s cries grew fainter, gradually disappearing at the end of the corridor. Cam looked coldly in the
direction
they were taken with a faint, eerie smirk.
Daniel was resolute in his actions. After dealing with the two elders, she was next.
At that moment, Cam seemed somewhat resigned to her fate. She nced at Daniel and smiled.
"Daniel, could
we find a ce to talk privately?"
Daniel took Cam to a small meeting room. Instead of calling it a meeting room, it felt more like an
interrogation
room, even colder than one.
Daniel sat on the couch while Cam didn''t even have a chair, kneeling on the floor. His gaze was icy,
scrutinizing
her. He could not fathom the deep-seated grudge between them that warranted her lifetime of revenge.
