    “She had been down for the past two days, locking herself in her room since yesterday,” Linda


    exined. “Today, she didn’t emerge at all, and I grew concerned. No one answered the door when I


    knocked. I tried to open it, but it was locked.


    “I realized something was amiss, so I had someone fetch the spare key…


    “When I opened the door, there she was, lying on her bed with an empty bottle of sleeping pills beside


    her.”
