Chapter 13 Without a Hint of Hesitation
Lysander felt like she possessed a strong resilience; no matter how sorrowful events unfolded, they
wouldn’t disrupt her sleep in the slightest.
The typical scenario where the protagonist on a television program couldn’t sleep due to a tragic
incident simply didn’t apply to her.
Daphne remarked, “This is good. It indicates that you have a clear mind. If I had your awareness back
then, I wouldn’t have stayed up all night before the college entrance exam, resulting in a mediocre
score at a second-tier university.”

Lysander consoled her. “Perhaps we are overanalyzing it. Maybe he genuinely liked you at the time,
but upon getting to know you better, he felt it wasn’t right, and the admission was merely a
coincidence.”
Daphne responded, “Do you believe that?”
Lysander believed it during her senior year of high school, but now, in her thirties, she didn’t truly
believe it either.
The disparity between Apex University and a second-tier university was simply too vast.

“By the way, why didn’t your husbande to pick you up today? I even checked the parking lot but
didn’t see his car.”
