    “What about your world?” James asked.


    “You mean the Ethos Realm?” Cody smiled and said, “I consider myself rather knowledgeable about


    the affairs of the Ethos Realm.”


    James listened intently.


    Cody exined, “My master told me that only those below a hundred years old are eligible to


    compete for the providence that would soon appear on Earth. That could only mean that the


    cultivators here are younger than that.

    “In the Ethos Realm, the strongest amongst the younger generation should be…”


    After thinking for a moment, he continued, “He should be at the Mage Rank and have already


    cultivated his Yogacara.”


    Upon hearing this, James was stunned.


    The Mage Rank? Were the Outsiders that terrifying?


    To reach the Mage Rank, he would have to cross the Supernatural’s Nine Inner Gates, the


    Herculean’s Six Layers, and the Immortal Ascension’s Nine Stairs.


    Currently, James was only at the peak of the Supernatural’s Eighth Inner Gate. He simply did not


    stand a chance.


    Cody looked at James’ grim expression and said with a smile, “Even in the Ethos Realm, those who


    reach the Mage Rank before the age of 100 are few and far in between. I believe the same goes for


    the other Sealed Realms. That’s why I think that most cultivators here are around the Immortal


    Ascension rank.”


    Hearing this, James breathed a sigh of relief.


    Fortunately, there were only a handful who had reached the Mage Rank. However, if they chose to


    join forces, the earthlings would not stand a chance.


    Now, James could only hope that they would only have the providence in mind and would not pester


    the earthlings. Otherwise, this would be disastrous for the earthlings.

    Cody looked at James and asked, “Are you really going to fight Magnus? You must understand that


    the power disparity between the both of you is huge. No matter what secret Supernatural Art you


    perform, you won’t be able topensate for your weak strength.”


    “Don’t worry, I know what to do.”


    Leaving this remark, James turned to leave Bane City.


    He knew he had no choice but to answer Magnus’ challenge. Otherwise, Wyrmstead would be the


    target of reprisal if he turned down his challenge.


    Just as he left Bane City, a voice came from behind him. “James.”


    James turned his head.


    A man wearing a white robe was swiftly approaching him from a distance away. His hair was long,


    and his skin was as fair and delicate as a woman’s.


    “Marcello?”


    James froze.


    Marcello appeared before James and looked at him, asking, “Two years ago, I entered closed-door


    meditation in the hopes of seizing the Celestial Abode three yearster, but I hurriedly returned after


    learning that the first providence is upon us. Unfortunately the Celestial Abode has changed hands,


    and I don’t know who currently owns it.”
