    Chapter 469 The Unreasonable Karen


    "Zeke!" Noah raised his voice and took the gold locket with the intention of helping Mackenzie put it on.


    Noah wore aplicated expression on his face as he turned to Madeline who was throwing them a


    mocking smile.


    She acted as if she were someonepletely out of the picture and standing on the sidelines to watch


    the clowns perform their skit.


    Noah didn''t know what to do. Wayne, meanwhile, helpfully clicked her fingers back into ce. The pain

    "We can talk back home." He tried to usher his daughter into the car but Sadie was in the passenger


    seat while Karen was in the back with a mountain of misceneous items piled up next to her. Only one


    person could feasibly fit in the seat.


    "These are gifts that Sadie handpicked for you. Come take a look." Karen ignored the pain in her


    fingers and tugged Noah into the car.


    Noah frowned and stayed in ce.


    She then switched up her strategy and retreated for the sake of an advance. It was unfortunate her


    acting skills were nonexistent. She turned to look at Madeline and Mackenzie. "Oh, I''m sorry. This was


    supposed to be your ride, wasn''t it? We''ll get off. No big deal. Sadie and I can take a short walk back."


    Both spoke of getting out but continued to dally in the seats to ramble.


    Mackenzie crawled into the car and proceeded to haphazardly swipe the presents on the seats to the


    floor. She didn''t care one bit. Sounds of shattering ss could be heard reverberating through the air.


    "Hey, what are you doing? These are presents for Noah. Why are you throwing these? Everything''s


    going to break. You have ill manners! Who raised you?" Karen got to the ground to pick up the gifts like


    a beggar in the streets.


    Zeke tossed the bags so why are you picking up the pieces like that? How badly do you want everyone


    to know what you bought? Afraid Noah can''t see that she damaged the gifts you bought for him?


    "Who did you say is ill-mannered?" Madeline grabbed Karen''s hand as she tried to reach for the child.

    She simply said to Mackenzie, "Get in the car."


    Mackenzie obeyed and sprayed down Karen and Sadie''s seats with sanitizer and carefully wiped


    everything down.

    "I''ll arrange for a driver to send you home," Noah said to the two women.


    Karen had tears hanging from her face. "I don''t care what happens to me, Noah. But you''re the


    president of the Quinton Corporations. You''re a man at the top. Stop letting a woman rule over you. It''s


    bad luck. Do you understand?"


    "I know this is your family. I have no right to speak but they''re your wife and daughter. Their every word


    and deed represents the Quinton Corporation. It makes no sense that they take everything you have


    like robbers hogging treasure…" Sadie also attempted to advise him and pretended as though it was all


    for his sake.


    Noah''s expression only got colder. He gave Wayne a look and his assistant said, "ETA one minute."


    "Forget it. I''m halfway in the grave anyway. What''s the use of arguing with a child? I just felt sorry for


    you. I don''t want you to suffer." Karen sighed at the man.


    She was acting as if Noah had suffered a great deal with no escape while she herself was also subject


    to oppression.


    Noah wasn''t looking at her. His gaze was fixed solely on Madeline who ushered the driver out of his


    seat. The driver obeyed after having guessed what she intended to do.


    He tugged on the passenger door immediately after only to find that she had locked the doors.
