    I was really grateful to Alden, and seeing as he was more of a friend to me than a lover, I decided to make the first move and ask that we should officially be friends. I was a little bit disappointed when he agreed, but it wasforting to know that I finally had someone who had my back and just wanted the best for me.


    "Thank you so much for today," I said, upon reaching the pce.


    "You''re wee," he said, handing over the food to me.


    "Do you think you''d be able to walk me down to ke''s room? I''m too nervous to go by myself," I exined.


    "No problem, let''s go," he said, holding my hand as he walked me through the door and up the stairs till we came to the second floor, in which ke''s room was situated.


    Alden gave me a reassuring smile, squeezing my hand softly as he led me to ke''s room.


    I was extremely nervous, but that was soon reced with confusion when I heard the sound of moansing from what I was sure to be ke''s room.


    I looked at Alden and he looked right back at me, as we both instinctively started walking on tiptoes quietly so he didn''t hear any footsteps approaching his room.


    "I think he might be jerking off or something," Alden whispered, suppressing hisughter.


    "That''s a woman''s voice I''m hearing," I said, not finding it funny and hoping that I was wrong in my assumptions.


    We got to the door and Alden pushed it open, and what I saw next consumed all my emotions and sent me into a state of shock.


    The food fell from my hands and my teeth chattered against each other, and it was as though blood was being drained from my veins as I just stood in the doorway, unmoving and trying to control the tears that had formed in my eyes. ke was naked and having sex with none other than my personal maid, Joan.


    "Fuck! Can''t you knock?" he screamed at me as Joan wrapped herself with the bedsheets, looking more annoyed than sorry, while ke hurriedly wore his trousers.


    "You still do this? Have you no shame or self-respect?" Alden blurted out, ring at his brother in a distasteful manner.


    ke rolled his eyes. "You have no right to judge me. Get the fuck out of my room before I do something you''ll live to regret," he threatened, then his eyes settled on me and he went quiet.


    I recovered from my shock and was able to take a few wobbly steps to get to him. "ke... how could you?" I stuttered, dumbfounded.


    He seemed pissed. "Listen, Ciara. I do not owe you any exnation. I can fuck whomever I want to the same way you can kiss whomever you want you to!"


    "He kissed me, and I didn''t see iting!" I yelled back at him.


    "You could have pushed him away, but what did you do instead? You kissed him back!" he retorted.


    "That wasn''t my fault. I can''t control how my body reacts, especially when I''m mated to three brothers at the same time!"


    He scoffed. "Then, do not expect me to know how to control the thing between my legs. After all, don''t they say it is in a man''s nature to cheat?"


    "Only fools and narcissists say that," Alden chipped in.


    "Fine then. I am a fool and a narcissist. Now, I want you two idiots to get the hell out of my room. You met me busy when you barged into my room," ke said, pulling Joan forward and wrapping his arms around her with a smirk, as though to spite me.


    "I guess this is where your family stays, you liar. I heard you were an orphan, but I didn''t think much of that until now," I eyed Joan distastefully.


    She grinned, unapologetically. "You''re just pained because he chose me and not you," she said.


    I grinned back at her, mischievously. "Did he really choose you, or are you just a ything he''d soon discard of? The only reason he fucked your sorry ass is to get back at me. Have you looked in the mirrortely? There''s no way ke would ever choose a pathetic thing like you over me," I told her.


    She was visibly upset and opened her mouth to speak, but Alden stopped her.


    "You should know your ce, you wretch. If you open that hole you call a mouth to talk back at the Alpha''s guest, I''ll ensure you''re fired immediately and you never get a job after this. You''ll live in the streets begging and feeding from hand to mouth, and when you can''t take it anymore, you''ll leave the Pack in shame and be a rogue, unloved by everyone and cast out wherever you go," Alden threatened.


    She looked at ke to defend her, but he didn''t say a word and she stormed off angrily with tears in her eyes, still wrapped in bedsheets.

    He walked to the door and we had to leave and as soon as we stepped out, he mmed the door in our faces.


    "I didn''t know you had the ability to cuss, I''m proud of you," Alden said, but by then, I had stopped fighting back tears and just let them flow freely.

    "How could he do this to me? Even if he wanted to sleep with someone, why did it have to be Joan? That''s the height of disrespect," I sobbed.


    "He has always been like that, and a lot of servant girls were fired because they wanted more from him when all he wanted was to y around. He had stopped doing so for about two years, but I guess he''s really mad at you and that''s why he went back to his old ways," Alden exined.


    "Do you think he''lle around?"


    "He definitely would, but by then, you wouldn''t even need him anymore," Alden offered in constion.


    I didn''t respond to that, because inasmuch as ke had hurt me, every part of my body still craved and wanted him. Instead of trying to move on with my life, I looked forward to the day I''ll be the one in his bed again and hoped we could finally finish off what we hadn''t been able toplete the other day.


    I clenched my fists in determination. No matter what, I was going to get ke back, and I couldn''t wait to see the sad look on Joan''s face when that finally happened.
