Ciara.
I was in a daze as I stood outside the gates of the pce, perplexed and regretting ever choosing to visit Liam when he was locked up. I was confused. How exactly was I supposed to find him in a huge Pack like the Silver Crest Pack? "You can try listening to your heart. The mate bond will lead you to him," my wolf said.
"Have you forgotten my mate bond lies with three different individuals? Finding him that way would be impossible and I would just be led in different directions," I said aloud, and some passers-by shook their heads at me in pity, wondering how someone so young had lost her sanity.
"I''m not insane, I''mpletely okay!" I screamed at them, which made them hurry away.
"Screaming like that would make them believe even more that you''ve lost it," ke said, ing into view.
"Oh, thank the goddess you''re here," I said, a bit relieved.
"If you were honest about where you were going yesterday, I would have warned you to be careful about Liam. Now, see what helping him has caused you," ke stated.
I hung my head sadly. "I really shouldn''t have tried to help him after all he''s done to me. I regret it so much," I said.
"We all have our regrets. Come with me. I know a few ces he might have gone to," ke said.
"Really? Thank you so much. You''re a lifesaver!" I eximed with joy.
"And where exactly are you going to check?" Alden asked, also suddenly appearing out of nowhere.
ke shrugged. "All his favorite ces, of course. The arcade, the warrior school, the..."
"You won''t find him in any of those ces. Yesterday was his mother''s posthumous birthday. I believe he should be at her graveside," Alden said.
"How did you know that, and where was his mother buried?" ke asked.
Alden handed a note over to him. "That''s the address of the cemetery," he said.
"Thank you so much, Alden. This has helped so much," I said, touching his hands and smiling happily at him.
He gently took my hands off his. "You''re wee. I think you guys should get going. Father has said you must be back by nightfall," he said.
"You''re noting along with us?" I asked.
"I have other things to do. Be safe," he said, then turned around and went back inside the pce.
"Do you think he''s mad at me?" I asked, as ke and I began to go on our journey.
"I think he and his mother are having issues, so he''s just directing his anger towards everyone else," ke exined.
"But why would a mother and son be having issues? Do you think it might be my fault?" I asked, quite worried.
ke shot me a small smile. "Don''t worry about it. I''m sure it has nothing to do with you," he said.
I sighed. "I hope you''re right."

As we went forward, I forgot my mission many a time, just gushing over the beauty of the Silver Crest Pack. It was my first time being outside the pce walls, and I couldn''t help but be fascinated by the awesomeness of everything, ranging from their street food, to the colorful buildings, overly excited pups and kind people.
It''s like everywhere we went, they could tell that I was new to their Pack and everyone just seemed to offer me one thing or another. I got carried away at times, but ke was always there to whisper in my ear that we couldn''t afford to waste time, and like that, I was quite able to focus on where we were headed.
"Remind me why we''re going through the woods again," I said.
"The cemetery is an old one, they''ve not fixed the roads leading to it yet," he exined.
"I see. I thought she was a queen though. Shouldn''t she have been buried in the Royal cemetery?" I wondered.
"I''m not quite sure of the details, but I heard the Alpha had a fight with her family and they fought to have the corpse of their daughter, so he ended up giving her up to them. At least, that''s what my mother told me," he said. "This is the first time you''re mentioning her. Is she still alive?"
"She''s alive and well, but she doesn''t live in our Pack."
"Oh, why is that?"
"It''s a private matter, but I''ll tell you one of these days."
"That''s okay, I''m sorry if it seems like I''m prying. You know, I initially thought you guys were triplets. It''s crazy that you three have different mothers," I noted.
He chuckled. "What''s more crazy is that we were born on the same day, so I guess we''re triplets in a kind of fucked up way."

"Duck!" he screamed, pushing my head down, and I had an instant panic attack the moment an arrow flew right over my head.
"What just happened?" I asked, with my heart thumping loudly.
"Shush," hemanded, making me stay behind him as he walked quietly to survey the area, trying to know where the arrow hade from.
"What''s going on?" I asked in a whisper.
"Rogues. That''s their scent. Ciara, we have to get out of here right this minute!" he said firmly, grabbing my hand.
Fear gripped me as I followed him as fast as I could, silently praying to the Moon Goddess toe to our aid. We had barely taken five steps, when we heard the bushes rustle, and before I had time to think, ke shoved me right behind him.N?velDrama.Org owns all ? content.
I was still clueless as to why he had done that, when an arrow flew through the air, shooting right through ke''s chest and blood began to ooze out in torrents as he fell to the floor, groaning loudly in agony.
Tears fell from my eyes as I knelt before him, trying to see what I could do. "ke, wait here a bit. I''ll go and get someone," I said.
He shook his head slowly. "No, Ciara. You must run to save your life. This ce is swarming with rogues. You aren''t safe," he managed to say.
"How could you think of me when you are about to die? Trust me, I''m not worth dying for. I''ll go get help," I said, trying my best to remain calm so I could think rationally.
"Not so fast, young woman," a rogue stated, appearing out of the bushes, and then, we were surrounded by a dozen of them, all of whom had a strange smirk on their faces and began to approach me with their weapons drawn, ughing maniacally.
"Dickheads! Why don''t you approach someone your own size?" Liam''s familiar voice echoed throughout the woods, and somewhere in me, fluttered a beacon of hope.
