    Skr took the opportunity to let Natalie know that she had arrived safely.


    The airport was quite a distance from the hotel. The driver navigated smoothly, and soon Skr drifted off <i>to </i>sleep. In her semi–conscious state, she felt Joe cover her with his jacket. He even held her close so that she could sleep even morefortably.


    She originally didn’t want to disturb him while he was working. However, she was so tired, and being held by him felt quitefortable, so she didn’t move and just slept in his arms.


    Joe’s deep, monotonous voice continued to reach her ears. The dull and tedious work content was likely a luby, making her sleep even more deeply.


    After what felt like a long time, the car came to a stop. She vaguely heard Paul’s voice. “Should we wake Mrs. Martin? We’re near the


    hotel.”


    Joe replied, “Not yet.”


    Skr opened her eyes. “Are we almost at the hotel?“.


    “Yes, we’re nearly there,” Joe said, his voice gentle.


    Skr sat up and looked out at the street. The different architectural styles of the foreignnd caught her eye, and she suddenly felt a surge of excitement for this trip.


    A nap had rejuvenated her, and she felt much more energetic.


    “Would you like to go for a stroll?” Joe asked, noticing Skr’s bright eyes and evident excitement as she gazed out the window.

    “Not really. After we grab a bite, we can head out,” Joe replied.


    Paul nced back quickly when Joe mentioned he wasn’t busy. He thought, “Not busy? That’s far from the truth.”


    Joe was as busy as ever. From what Howard had said, it seemed Joe had a special soft spot for Skr–something Joe himself might not even realize.


    Earlier, Skr had been sleeping during the drive. Joe held her close and still, speaking in a very soft voice to avoid waking her.


    Joe cast a cold nce at Paul.


    Paul immediately looked away. He certainly didn’t dare to say in front of Skr that Joe was very busy.


    In just a few minutes, they arrived at the hotel. After checking in, Paul ordered some food in the room. They had their meal in the suite.


    After finishing, Skr changed into a different outfit. Then, Joe took her for a walk.


    The streets were rtively quiet. They didn’t walk too far. It was just a casual stroll out of curiosity.


    While strolling, Skr noticed their hands intertwined. Their fingers locked together.

    Joe didn’t notice Skr’s gaze on their joined hands and assumed she was interested in a nearby shop. He said, “Let’s go check it out.”


    Skr followed him into the bakery. The shop was filled with a tempting array of baked goods. Even though she had just eaten, Skr was still drawn to the pastries.


    As she was selecting which ones to buy, Joe received a phone call.
