Chapter 749
Skr had taken a few steps forward. Suddenly, Sadie opened her eyes in a burst of energy. She waspletely conscious as she stared at Skr. She reached a hand out to grab her.
“Skye, it was all my fault. Forgive me. Forgive Mom, alright?”
“When the others heard the word “Mom” they all nced at Skr.
Mom?
They were rted.
That wasn’t quite right either. Sadie had said something about forgiveness. She must’ve done something wrong in the past.
Skr had also said that she wasn’t rted to her at all. There had to be a story behind it. Thus, they all looked down as though they’d heard nothing. They were scared they might say something they shouldn’t have if they opened their mouth.
was difficult to resolve family affairs, as an outsider. Something must have happened between them.
Skr walked back.
It was as though Sadie saw hope approaching. She widened her eyes. ? ?er bulged eyes looked like they were about to pop out on her skinny frame. It was rather terrifying.
“You’ve always been a kind, obedient little girl. I knew you would forgive me. You’re here to save me, right? You still see me as your mother, don’t you? I knew it. I knew it! I saw it in my dream. The way we treated you was uneptable. Even animals didn’t deserve such treatment.
“I know that I’ve made a mistake. I’ll treat you like a princess in the future, alright? I wasn’t in my right mind. How could I treat you like that? You’re my biological daughter. How could I have treated you like that? Please give me a chance to change my ways, alright?”
Only after going through it did she know how evil she had been. She would only know that her loved ones couldn’t be relied on through this.

They all left her tonguish here, including her sons, whom she’d been so proud of, and Maisy, who she’d treated genuinely. She was a proud woman. Yet, they let her live like an animal.
If she hadn’t hurt Skr, if only she had treated her well, she would’ve been well cared for. She didn’t want to die.
She’d been lost in a mad world of her own. It was only a lie she was trying to fool herself with. Sadie didn’t want to die. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDra/ma.O(r)g!
When Skr kept silent, it sent Sadie into a frantic mess.
“I know that I’ve made a mistake! I will be a good mother in the future. You didn’t grow up by my side, and when you eventually came home, I was under Maisy’s spell. I didn’t have the chance to be a good mother to you. Give me a chance to be good to you, alright?
“Your brothers aren’t treating me well. After my ident, they didn’t give a damn about me. Sometimes, I wouldn’t be given a hot meal for days. They would bathe me once a month and even expected me to shower myself. I’m disabled. I can’t even move. They’re absolute devils. Skye, you’re a kind girl. Show some pity. Take me home, alright? Get a few helpers for me.”
Sadie spoke faster and faster. She was probably extremely panicked, terrified that she would never see Skr again. She told her everything she’d harbored in her heart but had no idea how selfish they sounded.
Although she pleaded for forgiveness, she was asking for even more.
Skr said coldly, “In your dream, did I end up with a worse fate than you?”
Sadie was stunned. Her guilt was written across her face. She said, “I–I… Well, the things in my dreams weren’t real at all. I only came to my senses through the dream. I was awakened to how wrong I had been.”
In her semi–conscious state, she knew that the world she’d seen in her dream was real. Skr’s presence had changed it. If not, the one in the ident would’ve been Skr instead of her!
Skr chuckled and said, “A leopard can’t change its spots. Ms. Coleman, stop trying to make a fuss. Stay in the hospital.”
Sadie red at Skr with a twisted expression. She shrieked, “You should’ve been the one in the ident. Why didn’t you push me away? Why didn’t you get

ttened by the car? It’s all your fault! It shouldn’t have been me going through all this. You were the one who caused the demise of our family. It’s all you.”
