    “Ms. Sanchez, it’s me.” It was Everett’s assistant. “Mr. Lopez is drunk. We’re at the Crimson


    International Club; can youe pick him up?”


    “What? Just send him back to Bay Residence.” She didn’t have a car or the strength to support him, so


    how could she pick him up?


    “No can do! I… I… I’ve been drinking too!”


    Dorothy frowned. She wanted to suggest the assistant call Everett’s true love, but she swallowed her
