Antique Jade Appreciation Conference in Jocrovania, Aunt Mairi.

Lorna was thoroughly shocked by Mairi’s outburst. Turning around, she looked at her parents and
asked for their help wordlessly.
Her mother, Kirsty Smith, came over and said with a big smile, “Geez. Listen to yourself, Mairi.
You’re scaring the youngsters. Lorna’s just a child. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
Avril leaned into Bonnie’s ears and whispered, “She’s right. Lorna’s such a baby.”
Bonnie hid her chuckle behind her hands.
Mairi stood before Bonnie and said, “Just a child? Fine. If you say she’s a child, then so be it. I can’t
believe she made such nasty remarks when she was just a child. The fault doesn’t lie with her. That
