    anything. “Just let me hold them. Did you forget that I get cold easily?”

    “Is your schedule open on August fourteenth?” He asked.


    Raising her head, she asked, “What’s on your mind?”


    “I want you to shop with me.”

    That stopped her in her tracks. She asked Ivor, “Why do you want to buy me new clothes so


    suddenly?”


    Lowering his gaze, he looked at her and responded, “It’s my birthday.”


    She was surprised to learn that his birthday was on the fourteenth of August.
