Before there was anything, there was a large expanse of nothing.


    Darkness stretched from edge to edge of infinity, filling existence with the lack of. A paradox, of sorts.


    The world lacked anything of value.


    After an incomprehensible length of time, dark strands of the expanse started to emerge and intertwine. They twisted, weaving themselves together mindlessly.


    They knotted, over, and over, and over. An endless cycle of pointless creation.


    Millions of knots, once tied, came together into a form of divinity. A figure of knots smoothed out into flesh and bone, hair enveloping her and all of what was. From the darkness came the first appearance of colour, dagger-sharp blue eyes which lit up the surrounding area, casting her hair into a cool brown.

    Her slitting eyes tore through her surrounding hair, separating it from the rest of her and allowing her space to breathe. With a large exhale, she blew the strands all together, and they packed in, creating a solid ground of brown.


    She stood, alone, on the large expanse of what was her hair, breathing in the air that was now given space to flood in. Her eyes scraped across the land. Not yet a day old, she’d created a world, and as she blinked, she saw endless strands of the universe within reach, manipulatible.


    She laughed, loudly, hearing it echo until it was out of earshot.


    Before, there was nothing, until it was overtaken by something. That something was she.
