“Umm... Nothing” Something shed in her eyes but she blink her eye twice.
“Tell me Jess" I asked sitting her on bathtub.
"She is on leave" She said with sad look
"Ohh sweet, She is sick. I will take you to visit her after school" I said. Her eyes sparkled mentioning
going to meet her best friend.
"Mommmmy...." She called while I was washing her face
"Yes baby" I asked.
"Will you take me nonna’s cafe for nite out" She asked
"Yes because I need to go for night job and it''s called night out "I said and she nodded
I do weekend night job in one of famous club. They need extra people on weekends and they give
good amount

“Tomorrow I will make pancakes, Please eat baby” I saidbing my long hair. It has been five year I
didn''t get time for myself to go salon. My hair grown so long reaching till my hip.
“Why you have blond hair" She asked with admiration. She loves my long hair and that is the of the
reason I don''t like to cut them.
“Because my mom has same” I smiled.
"So did Papa have ck hair like mine” She asked innocent questions but it feel like someone dropped
bucket of ice on me.
"Ye... yes" I stammered.
"Ok I also want long hair like you” She said taking spoonful oats in her mouth
"Eat slowly baby" I said and she nodded. I went inside room to take my bag and also her bunny bag for
school
m done mummy...” She said trying to stood by her own from stool. Its not baby stool but big one I
brought it from club when they were about to throw it because it was old but for me it was in good
shape to use.
“Wait baby” I took her in my arms. After cleaning her i helped her to get dress. I also get ready for work.
It our daily routine to go together in morning. We left our tiny apartment of one room and kitchen We
left from our apartment to start our day.
“Don''t run everywhere in break” I reminded her before giving kiss on her cheek. Her school is not far
away from my work ce.
“Everyone y in break” She pout
"Yes you can y but can''t run like it''s Marathon" I chuckled.
"Ti voglio bene" She kissed on my cheek.

She speak good Italian but her english is weakpare to her Italiannguage
I reached my work ce " Peace of life” it''s a cafe Serena owned. After tragedy of my life we moved to
Italy at Serena home. Her parents had this Little cafe which was closed till we arrived in Italy.
“Good morning Serena” I said reaching counter.
“Thank god youe on time" She wiped sweat from her forehead.
"What happened" I asked.
“Rose... I mean Lisian" She correct herself and i nodded. It has been five year but whenever she is in
panic mode forgot that I hate this name

“They wanted two hours before the time we have decided.”
"Ok, Where is Emma" I asked looking everywhere.
"She is baking..."
"So what''s the problem” I asked.
“There is college students celebrating birthday party of friend. Chiara is on leave so you Know we have
less staff and more work" She yelled on frustration like always she do.
I still wonder why she is running cafe. She has to run gym or may be self defence ss
"Just seat here have your coffee and let me handle Serena” I said wearing my apron.
“One more thing your little student wille tonight for training so train her with this frustration” I said
going inside kitchen to see orders
“Thanks Lisian " She yelled. She always treat Jessica like Little flower that thing I don''t like because
she need to strict with her.
“Hi Emma” I said going inside looking emma making birthday cake. She is in her fifty and also care
taker of cafe in absence of Serena.
"Hey Lisian” She smiled.
"Make strong coffee for me” I told her taking order list we have today with our menu.
"Yes just few minutes” She said and I went to check our customers
“Good morning All" I greeted group of teenagers girl.
“Good morning" They chirped
They are regr customer. Just a year ago college open near our cafe. It was earlier school butst
year they expanded it and it boost our small business with good return.
"So girl what you all want for today" I asked.
“Lisian we are sitting here till afternoon” One of them said.
"Why..." I asked arching my brows.
" Because we haven''tpleted our assignment” One of them said and they all giggled.
“Ohhh, do you want free pastry today” I asked.
“We can" They asked back
"Yes. Help us today with our order and we will treat you with pastry as I see you all have time" I said
and they all nodded with excitement.
"Wait here, I aming” I said going inside kitchen
“Emma, Do you need help” I asked
"Yes but Chiara is on leave and customer waiting outside" She said nervously.
“Rx, There is few girl help us” I said looking our order number one.
“Chocte cake with milkshake” I said and Amber passed me the te.
“Ok I am sending inside girls instruct them ok” I said and she nodded.
"Girls three required in kitchen and two with me for servicing order” I said they decided themselves.
Serena was sitting on counter taking cash and orders. This small cafe was already popr in area but
Serena Cake and pastry did magic in our cafe. It''s so famous now peoplee regrly for eating. I
didn''t know Serena can bake too and it''s delicious.
Finally after morning breakfast and tea task we get little time for ourselves
“Thanks girls for your help” I said serving them pastry with milkshake.
“Ohhh Lisian we enjoyed it, if you again need help lets us know" One of the cute teenager girl said and
I smiled.
They bid their goodbye after having their treat and I also have my morning breakfast in afternoon like
always.
