53. Confession
The Doctor was patiently waiting in the hallter that evening, sipping water and avoiding eating
anything, before being taken to the Alpha’s chamber. As he felt honored that he had been chosen to be
Luna’s Doctor, which had caused his hunger to disappear. When the Doctor entered the room, it was
packed with all the ranked members of the pack. What were they all doing in this room?
“Oh my Goddess, it is so cute, Adira!” Kiara eximed. The Luna was overjoyed when her sister had
given her a little teddy bear that would light up andugh if the baby cried, as well as a pretty doll that
would sing when the baby cried.
“It was Zander’s idea. He is concerned that our nephew might be a carbon copy of his father, cold

Kiara arge bag.
“Grandpa, you didn’t have to bring me anything.” The young she-wolf hesitated to ept the gift,
saying, “Your blessings are enough.” Her entire family had unexpectedly showered her with presents.
No one had been able to wait until the full moon celebration, so they had decided to surprise her with a
present in honor of her pregnancy. The Beta and Gamma couples were the first to offer Kiara not just
cute toys but also beautiful expensive nes and bangles.While Lance had given her a toy. She
had not expected a gift from him, but she was grateful all the same.
“I am going to be a great-grandfather, Luna Kiara, therefore my present should be the best. Please
open it,” the elderly man insisted with a pleased smile as he patiently waited for his Luna to do so.
Everyone’s curiosity grew.
“Wow,” alldies gasped together when they saw a diamond set for Kiara. “I hope you like it, Luna
Kiara,” he asked, reading her expression.
“I loved it, Grandpa but it is too much. I can not possibly ept it…”

“It was then handed down to Xavier’s mother, and now you are the owner.” Kiara was taken aback and
turned to face Adira and Zander.
“I’m sorry, Grandpa, but I still can’t ept it. Yes, I am Xavier’s mate, but having this when Adira is also
the Luna of this pack is unfair. She is also my older sister. Alpha Zander is only a few minutes younger
than his brother,” Kiara exined as she handed him back the set. That’s when Zander and Adira
joined Stephen in hisughter.
“What’s wrong?” The young she-wolf asked in confusion.
“Actually, Kiara, I have already received my gift from Grandpa. Grandma had two simr sets, each in a
different pattern, which she preserved for her two granddaughters-in-mate. So don’t worry about me.”
Adira rified, asking that she take the present from the twins’ Grandfather. She was well aware of the
reason behind her sister’s hesitancy.
“Both of youdies are equal in my eyes,” replied the elderly wolf. With a smile, the young woman
nodded. She then began to check the second bag.
“Oh my Goddess, is all of this for the pup?!” Kiara eximed, looking at the plethora of small clothes for
either a boy or a girl. There were also arge number of toys that were too cute for words
“Wow! They are so cute, Mr. Stepehen,” Lena said, admiring them. “Of course,” the old wolf crowed
proudly until he heard his older grandsonment.
“It seems like he purchased an entire store. The baby hasn’t even been born yet, and everyone is
acting crazy,” Xavier murmured. Stephen’s brow furrowed as he looked at his grandson.
“You brat! We are happy, this is how we are disying our happiness and affection. We brought gifts
for the pup and the soon-to-be mother. No one came empty-handed. What have you brought for my
granddaughter-in-mate and her baby?! The old wolf roared, hurling daggers at Xavier. The Alpha took a
deep breath in response.
“Lance,” Xavier extended his hand to the bodyguard, who stood some distance away with a small box
in his hand. Xavier took Kiara’s hand in his and slid the bag into it.
“Umm, this is for our pup,” when Kiara noticed him hesitate, she giggled. The Alpha was obviously shy
and had never done any baby shopping before.
“Should I open it?” She asked, making him look her in the eye.
“If you want,” Xavier cleared his throat, but nodded. Kiara grinned as she opened the box, revealing a
pair of tiny shoes and gloves for their baby that stole her heart.
“AWWWW… so cute!!!!” All of thedies squealed at the same time, while all of the guys smiled. Kiara
shifted her gaze to her mate, who was already staring at her.
“Do you like it?” Between all of the chatting that was going on around them, Xavier’s voice sounded
like a whisper.
“It is the most beautiful present I have ever received. I love it,” Kiara responded, noticing a smile on
Xavier’s face, which made her smile as well. They exchanged smiles before Xavier began to get closer
to his woman for a kiss. If he did not take those soft lips with his then he would have a heart attack!
Kiara licked her lips as she watched him make his move before everyone sensed the Doctor’s
presence.
“The Doctor is here,” Lance announced. Xavier stopped and nced at the door.
“Well, I guess it’s time for us to go. So that the Doctor is free to conduct his check up,” Stephen stated.
Everyone left the room except the Alpha and Luna, who were left alone with the Doctor.
Xavier walked alongside from the bed, allowing the Doctor to examine Luna, who was patiently lying on
it.
Throughout the time he was checking her, her emotions were a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and a
small amount of dread. Xavier had been standing next to the Doctor, observing everything he did and
taking notes in his notebook. It was odd to watch the Doctor taking notes while checking her pulse and
bump. What had he been up to?
When the Doctor learned something he hadn’t expected, he frowned. He stood up and turned to face
the Alpha.
“I believe I am unable to meet the Luna’s needs, Alpha. We should contact Dr. Harvell,” he made the
suggestion with a loweried head.
“What? Dr. Harvell? Why?” Xavier demanded, perplexed. Harvell was a former pack Doctor who had
been one of the greatest in his day. Alpha couldn’t understand what the Doctor had meant when he
said to
call the old Doctor
“A..Alpha, I think that the Luna’s pregnancy is a s…..special case,” Xavier was enraged by the pack’s
best Doctor’s stutter since hisments had terrified the young woman, who instantly put her palm
over her bump in dread.
“Is something wrong with my baby?
“Kiara, calm down,” Xavier reached out to hold her hand and sat down beside her.
“Let me call Dr.Harvell,” her husband suggested, helping her emotionally. She could not help but give a
small nod.
The Doctor reappeared, apanied by an elderly retired physician. Surely he had addressed his
suspicions and fears with the old wolf before presenting him before the Alpha, who was undoubtedly
dissatisfied with his performance.
“Alpha,” the old Doctor bowed his head respectfully before moving closer to the young she-wolf.
“Luna, if you allow me then I would like to check you,” Kiara was able to rx thanks to the elderly
wolf’sforting smile. Xavier was now seated on the opposite side of the bed, holding his wife’s hand
as the Doctor examined her.
He’d been keeping a careful eye on the Doctor’s reaction. The old wolf’s surprise was not hidden from
Xavier even though he quickly hid it. He moved away from the young Luna to look at the desperate
Alpha.
“What do you say, Doctor? Our pup is safe, right?” Xavier asked, helping Kiara sit back on the bed.
“Yes, Alpha, both mother and pup are healthy and safe. The Luna is one month pregnant,” he stated.
Kiara’s face lit up with a wide smile. She jumped in the bed, clutching her mate’s hand tightly.Xavier
laughed as he watched her excitement.
“However, the Luna’s pregnancy is a special case,” the elderly Doctor continued. The Doctor standing
behind him, who had taken meticulous notes, concurred with satisfaction that what he had suspected
was correct.
“What do you mean by special case?” Xavier c**** d his brows in displeasure. This old wolf was
repeating the same words as the other Doctor.
“I had heard the rumor that the Luna was unaware of the fact that she was pregnant and shifted into
her wolf. Is this true?”
“Yes it is true but it was an ident. She had bled, but our pup was unharmed at the time. It was
confirmed by one of the vampire Doctors,” Xavier rified.
“Yes, the baby was unharmed, but Alpha, thanks to the shifting, a miracle has urred. The Luna’s
pregnancy has been cut short. Normally, a woman would give birth after a nine month pregnancy, but
hers has been cut short. She’ll give birth in four months!” Xavier and Kiara were taken by surprise by
the
Doctor’s announcement. The couple’s eyes were wide with astonishment.
“How is this possible?” Kiara asked, worried that her child would not be able to be born healthy.
“Yes, it appears to be impossible. It’s for this reason that I called your pregnancy ‘exceptional. Only
once every hundred years does anything like this happen. Even though you were shifting, you
safeguarded your baby, so this predicament arose. I’ve only ever heard about it or read about it in
books but today I’ve had the opportunity to witness it myself.” The doctor exined, and Xavier tried to
comprehend his words calmly before reacting to his ims. Everyone was admiring a miracle, but the
pregnant woman was just concerned about her baby.
“Will my child die as a result of the early delivery?” Her face had be white with fear, she felt as if
she was going insane. She couldn’t care less about miracles, her sole concern was for her child. The
young she-wolf was not prepared to face the prospect of losing her first offspring.
“No, your pup would be the most powerful werewolf ever born. Perhaps you are unaware that the baby
has been blessed by the Moon Goddess! He is destined to rule the world!” The Doctor confirmed,
surprising the Alpha and Luna. The Doctor excused himself with a big smile while Kiara and Xavier sat
there in stunned silence.
“Wait, did he say that our pup is blessed by the Moon Goddess?!” Xavierughed like crazy.
“Did you hear that, Kiara? Our baby is blessed!” Xavier hugged the young she-wolf tightly. Surely he
had stopped believing in the Moon Goddess but he loved that their pup would be blessed and powerful!
Xavier pulled away from her to grab her hand.
“Our baby will rule over the world!” Xavierughed again, peering deep into her eyes but finding no
reaction from his woman.
“What’s wrong?” He noticed that her face had turned pale and she did not look happy to hear the good
news.
“Did he mention that the pregnancy will only be a four-month long?” Kiara bit her bottom lip as tears
gathered in her eyes. Xavier became panicked when he saw her tears and slid closer to her.
“Yes, he said that but why are you crying?” He stroked her cheek, realizing that her body felt as if it
were made of ice. He had no idea what had happened to her so suddenly. It was supposed to be a
happy moment for them. Kiara had watched all her hopes shatter before her eyes.
“That implies that the surrogacy arrangement wille to an end when I give birth. I’ll only be staying
in your life for another three months,” she whispered, tears in her eyes. Xavier’s mind went nk as
soon as he remembered about the contract and her leaving him alone. He froze in his ce when he
noticed her touching his face.
“It seems, it is time for me to stop letting my heart beat only for you, Xavier,” Kiara said with a smile,
allowing her tears to flow freely.
“Don’t forget that you are my first in everything and that you will best,” she leaned closer to kiss his
lips while sobbing, before she said.
“I will only ever love you.”
