Grayson walks in and smiles at me
"How did it go?" He asks
"As far as I''m concerned, the pack loved her" Ethan smiles at Grayson
''That''s good" he smiles at me and I return one
"Unfortunately I have still got to go. I''ve got work to do. Ethan can keep youpany if you like" he
smiles at me
I look at Ethan and he nods
"Sure" I smile
Grayson wraps his arms around my waist and bends down to kiss my cheek. I blush and he winks at
me. He let''s go and walks out the door
"It''s really cute how you and Grayson are" Ethan says
I blush and smile
"I''m serious though. I''ve never ever seen him show this much of affection to anyone or affection at all"

I can''t help but wonder what he was actually talking about
"What do you mean?" I ask
Ethan pauses for a second
"Well I don''t actually think I should be telling you this" he looks almost worried?
"Please tell me" I am literally begging
I want to get to know more about Graysons past. He never says anything to me about it
"Fine, but don''t tell Grayson that I told you else my head will be on a tter" he chuckles

"Okay so about a few hundred years back Grayson developed his powers because he turned the
rightful age of 18. But the thing is he was so powerful because of it that he couldn''t even control
himself. He was going around viges feeding off everybody, children, woman, men. Nobody could
stop him, not even our own rtives. Afterwards, the royal vampires made a n to chain him up in
thick iron chains. The vigers then one day put him on the stage so they could make fun of him. They
wereughing and throwing things at him, until.. he broke through those chains and killed every single
one of them, leaving none of them untouched. The vige was wiped out. It was a blood bath. My dad
then afterwards left us. He did not return to us. My brother has been taking care of me since. Luckily he
does have control over his thirst. But he is the most powerful creature out their" he looks at me
How can Grayson be such a monster?
Why?
Should I just forget about the past?
Ethan breaks my thought
"Danielle I know it''s a lot to take in but Grayson will treat you right" he puts his hands on either side of
my shoulder
"But what if-" he cuts me off
"Rx. The way he''s showing affections towards you shows me that his trying. And he will treat you
right and that''s a promise" he smiles
I nod
"Okay love?" He lifts up my chin to look at him
"Okay" I smile
"Wanna go have lunch or something?" He asks me

"Okay Ms Storm. On Grayson''s part, he''s not a monster. He''s a lot of things, but a monster was never
him. Our dad was too fucking useless to stick around and help him like a father is suppose to. He was
a coward and left us, so I guess we learnt the hard way" he smiles weakly at me. I can see when he
mentions his father his eyes looked glossy?
"That''s terrible to hear for the both of you. I''m so sorry" I reply honestly.
No wonder why Grayson always seems so cold
"It''s okay, atleast I''ve got my brother" he fakes a smile which I notice
"If you don''t mind me asking, what about your mother?" I bite my bottom lip
"My mother died while giving birth to us, it''s just me and Grayson" he answers, looking down
I pull him into a hug. Knowing all about Graysons and Ethans past just made me feel so depressed and
crushed to know what they''ve gone through.
Ethan hugs me back and after a while, pulls away
"Thank you for telling me Ethan. It means a lot to me" I smile
"It''s a pleasure Danielle. I consider you my sister already" he lightens up and I giggle
"Well I''m d" I smile widely back
Ethan runs his fingers through his hair and I cant help but to stare.
"Anyway, I''m going to go shower. If you need anything you know where my room is" he smiles and runs
upstairs to his room
I smiled and walked to grab a apple.
