Iris has one of the more unfortunate fates in this new history. Her life up to meeting Sarah is a constant. Since Sarah is going to school in New York City she never does run into Iris while in school. Because of this she never finds an outlet for the anger that she has for the people that bully her. It comes to be too much in her senior year of high school. The bullying gets worse and with nobody around to turn to, Iris hangs herself.
