Chapter 23- A phone call


    Meher''s p.o.v


    I and Asif saw him entering the house. Asif said clenching his jaw," I am going to ask him why he made


    my sister''s life miserable and tried to kill me."


    Saying that he is going to leave the balcony when I hold his hand and said," You don''t have to talk with


    him. Just go to your room and rest."


    " But, Api....." He tried to say when I just red at him. He didn''t say anything further and went to his


    room angrily. I heard him shut the door with a thud sound.


    I am now sitting on the bed looking at the window. After some time I understood that the murderer of


    my baby has entered into the room.


    He asked me softly," How are you now?"


    " To your disappointment I am alive," I replied sarcastically.


    Saying that I looked at him and found that he is looking at me with his soft eyes. I can see the concern


    in his both eyes.


    " He is concerned for me! Huh! It will be the biggest joke of this century.


    I again looked outside through the window and asked him sternly," Why are you here? You are here to


    fuck me, right? Then, let me remind you that the doctor has forbidden you to not fuck me for at least 2


    weeks."


    I am too much hurt that I didn''t bother what kind of words I am taking.


    He said to meing forward," I am not in the mood to argue with you. I just want to tell you that you


    and your brother can live in this farmhouse. No one will disturb you."


    " After snatching everything from us you are here to show sympathy? Are you here to mock me that I


    don''t even have a roof above my head?" I asked him dramatically standing up from the bed.


    He said clenching his jaw," What do you mean? Why are you exaggerating every word?


    " Do you deny the fact that you aren''t behind all the incident whatever had happened with my family?


    Do you deny that you aren''t behind my Adeel bhaiya''s arrest and Asif''s ident? Do you deny that you


    aren''t behind mypany''s bankrupted situation? You did all this to trap me, right? I asked him


    grabbing his cor. I am feeling like to choke his neck right now.


    Hearing me, he isn''t surprised like he was expecting all those questions. He freed my hands from his


    cor and made me sit on the bed.


    Then, he replied sternly," Yes, I did all this to trap you. I did all this to give my sister justice."


    " I don''t know what happened to your sister. But, you were giving your sister justice by doing injustice


    with me! You monster!" I yelled angrily.


    He is silent. He isn''t saying anything. I can see his disturbed expression.


    " What I have ever done to you that you destroyed my life like that? What I have ever done to you that


    you killed my unborn baby brutally? What my brother had done to your sister that you decide to take


    brutal revenge on my whole family?" I asked him screaming.


    Tears starteding out from my eyes like a never-ending stream. I am feeling too much hurt


    remembering my baby who died a horrific death.


    Suddenly, he holds my chin tightly and said lowering his voice," Ask your brother what he had done to


    my sister. Then you will understand why I had done all this."


    Saying all this he started leaving the room and I again broke down into hysterical sobs. I can''t get over


    the fact that I have lost my baby.


    Suddenly, I saw a knife on the table with fruits. Without wasting any time I picked it up in my hand.


    I run behind him raising the knife to stab him. I will just stab him when he turned his face towards me


    and I stopped at my ce.


    He didn''t snatch the knife from my hand nor he protested. He is just looking at me with his astonishing


    eyes.


    I am still holding the knife when he said angrily," Stab me. Come one. Stab me. Do it. What are you

    My hand started trembling after hearing his voice. I couldn''t stab him. Looking at his face I lost my


    courage. The knife falls on the floor from my hand and I cried out loudly. I started sobbing like a little


    kid.


    " You can never kill me. That''s not you," he said softly and pulled me into a hug.


    I am still crying hysterically soaking his shirt. We didn''t say anything further. I felt like he is consoling


    me by stroking my hairs.


    Suddenly, I realised that he is hugging me. Disgust crawled inside my whole system.


    I pushed him hard and yelled loudly," Just get lost from here. Let me be alone for some time."


    He didn''t say anything further. He gave me a nk expression and left the ce without ncing back.


    After some hours


    Author''s p.o.v


    Meher is sitting in the waiting room for Adeel. She is here to ask him some questions.


    She is looking too much tensed and also upset. Her eyes are looking dead. The glow from her face is


    lost. Dark circles are visible under her eyes. She is looking a little bit older than her actual age.


    She is thinking about something deeply when Adeel entered the waiting room.


    He said affectionately," Meher! I am too happy that Asif is fine."


    Well, Meher has already informed Adeel about Asif''s well being. Adeel is now a little bit rxed that his


    siblings are fine.


    " Bhaiya, what you had done to Haniya Seikh?"Meher asked hurriedly.


    Adeel became nervous and worried after hearing her stern question. He wasn''t expecting this question


    from her right now.


    Adeel uttered nervously," Meher, suddenly why are you.........."


    Adeel couldn''tplete his sentence when Meher asked him holding his hands," I request you to tell


    me every truth."


    Adeel closed his eyes tightly and took a deep breath. He understood that it''s time to confess his crimes


    in front of his sister. There is no going back.


    " I will tell you every truth. But, please don''t hate me after hearing the truth," Adeel said to Meher with


    his pleading eyes.


    Meher replied assuring him," I won''t."


    Then, Adeel started saying every truth gathering all the courage inside him. He told everything to


    Meher.


    He told her about his enmity with Sehreyar in the business sector. He told her how he trapped Haniya


    in his love trap. He told her how he secretly married Haniya and then betrayed her. He also confessed


    that he didn''t ept Haniya and her child in front of the whole society. Andstly, he confessed how he


    killed his own child.


    After hearing everything Meher became stunned. She has lost her words. She isn''t understanding what


    she should say.


    She couldn''t believe that Sehreyar''s grandma was telling the truth. She couldn''t believe that her brother


    has destroyed an innocent girl''s life. She used to think that her brother is like an angel. He can never


    do any kind of crime. But, now her belief bes shattered into tiny pieces. She is looking at Adeel''s


    face without blinking her eyes.


    Adeel said almost crying," Meher, I just wanted to teach a lesson to Sehreyar. That''s why I did all this."


    Saying that he tried to touch Meher when she jerked off his hand angrily.


    She yelled," Don''t touch me. You are not my brother. My brother can''t do all this. My brother can''t be a


    monster."


    She is saying all this and nodding her head in negative like a madwoman. Adeel is just crying and


    saying sorry.


    Then, Meher hold his cor tightly and yelled on his face," You destroyed an innocent girl''s life just


    because you had enmity with her brother! Are you even human? Do you have any idea what I have


    faced because of your sins? Do you have any idea what has happened to me in these 7 months? After


    doing all these sins you are telling me to not hate you!!!!"


    Adeel became bewildered after hearing her. He uttered with too much fear," What are you talking


    about? What happened to you?"


    " I am leaving right now. I will nevere to see you again. Form today, forget that you used to have a


    sister," Meher replied and started crying loudly.


    Adeel said trying to hold Meher," I am sorry. I am being punished for my sins. I am regretting my all


    actions badly. Don''t hate me, Meher. I beg you."


    Meher just flinched backwards. Her whole system filled with pure disgust thinking that her brother has


    also killed an innocent child just like Sehreyar. She couldn''t believe that her brother is also a murderer


    of his own child just like Sehreyar.


    She couldn''t tolerate all this anymore and came out from the waiting room running.


    She heard Adeel is calling her name loudly and asking for forgiveness but Meher didn''t give a single


    nce at her.


    Meher is now walking on the street like a hobo. Tears are flowing from her eyes non-stop.  She is too


    much broken. She still can''t believe that because of her brother''s sins she was being punished.


    She is cursing her Destiny and everyone responsible for her miserable condition and her baby''s death.


    She is still crying and walking like a hobo when someone called on her phone. She saw the caller id


    and its from an unknown number. She cut the call hurriedly because she is not in the state to talk.


    But, her phone started ringing continuously. She became irritated and received the call.


    She yelled on the phone," Who are you? Why are you bothering? I don''t know you."


    After that, she heard something which made her whole system frozen. She became a statue. She is


    blinking her eyes repeatedly. She couldn''t believe her ears. Her hands started trembling and she


    gulped down her saliva with utter shock.


    She was silent for some time. Then, She murmured clutching the phone tightly," I aming right


    now."
