Chapter 65- Feelings

    It''s been three years since Devika and Abhinav are divorced. They aren''t together anymore.


    In these three years, many things have changed in their life. Devika has be more mature and


    sensible woman. She is living with her kids in a luxurious apartment. Her siblings aren''t living with her


    anymore as she has sent them abroad for higher studies.


    On the other hand, Abhinav has be a good person for the sake of his children and Devika. He is


    living in another apartment in Devika''s locality. He is living there as her neighbour so that he can be


    with his kids maximum time. He is still trying his best to earn Devika''s forgiveness. He is determined


    that he will not give up until he earns her forgiveness.


    Devika and Abhinav''s children are now 5 years old and they live with their mother and father both.


    They still don''t know why their parents don''t live under the same roof.


    Right now, Devika and Abhinav are in a shopping mall with their kids. They are buying clothes for


    participating in Arnav and Apeksha''s wedding.


    Yes, Arnav and Apeksha are getting married. After asking forgiveness for 3 years finally, Arnav earned


    forgiveness from Apeksha. She has given him a hard time. She punished him for misbehaving with


    Devika and herself.


    " How is mamma looking in this pink colour lehenga?" Devika asked her little kids holding a lehenga on


    her shoulder.


    Before her kids could say anything, Abhinav said smiling," You look beautiful in every colour. But, I


    think red will suit you more."


    " I didn''t ask you," Devika told him with her cold voice and Abhinav just sighed. He knows very well that


    Devika will never ask for his opinion as she is still angry with him.


    " Mamma, that red lehenga will suit you more. Papa is right," Devansh said innocently pointing his one


    baby finger towards a red lehenga.


    Devika''s other kids also agreed with their papa. Devika only gave Abhinav a cold stare and Abhinav


    just chuckled looking at Devika''s angry face.


    " I have just suggested. It''s not my fault," Abhinav said making puppy dog eyes and stood behind his


    kids to protect himself from Devika''s wrath.


    Devika couldn''t control herughter seeing Abhinav''s funny behaviour. It would be a lie if she says that


    she has no feelings for Abhinav. Over the years she has developed some feelings for Abhinav which


    she doesn''t want to ept.


    Finally, Devika bought the red lehenga as she didn''t have any choice. Her kids requested her to buy it


    and she couldn''t ignore their request.


    After that, Abhinav bought his suit which was also selected by his kids. He wanted Devika to choose


    his suit but she didn''t. She ignored him intentionally.


    Now, Abhinav and Devika are in the kids'' section. They are selecting dresses for their kids.


    Devika is trying to select some beautiful frocks for Dipti and Drishti when she noticed that a salesgirl is


    trying to seduce Abhinav.


    Abhinav is selecting some kids suit for Devansh and Daksh when a salesgirl started to seduce him.


    The girl is batting her eyelids continuously and giving some seducing signals to Abhinav. He is so busy


    selecting dresses that he isn''t noticing the girl.


    " Sir, this suit will look good on your son," The girl said seductively giving a ck colour suit to Abhinav.


    She brushed her fingers with Abhinav''s hand while giving this suit.


    Abhinav asked Devansh," My boy, do you like it? How is that?"


    " It''s worst," Devika saiding forward before Devansh could say anything. Abhinav just looked at


    Devika with his startled eyes.


    Devika looked at the girl from head to toe and said sternly," I will suggest you do your job properly and


    don''t put your hands where it doesn''t belong."


    " Sorry, mam. I didn''t get you," The girl replied trying to act innocent.


    This time Devika couldn''t control herself anymore and told the girl directly," Don''t try to seduce my


    husband. If you again put your eyes and hands-on him then I willin to the authority against


    you."


    Abhinav heard Devika and just looked at her amusingly. He isn''t understanding what he should say or


    how to react when Devika said the word my husband. A hope rose inside him hearing Devika.


    " Devika, we should.........." Abhinav tried to say something when Devika snapped at him," Shut up.


    Didn''t you see how she was trying to seduce you? Or, you are participating with her equally."


    " No," Abhinav said and Devika gave a re to the salesgirl.


    Then, she paid the bill hurriedly and came out of this shop. She held Abhinav''s one hand and told her


    kids to follow her. She came out of the shopping mall making a satisfied face.


    On the other hand, Abhinav didn''t understand what just happened. He is still in shock after seeing


    Devika''s sudden action.


    At Night


    Abhinav''s p.o.v


    " Devika, what do you think about admitting the children into school? I asked Devika who is patting


    Drishti''s head affectionately.


    Right now, I and Devika are sitting in my apartment and my bedroom. The kids wanted me and Devika


    to tell stories so that they can sleep. That''s why we are together. The kids are now fast asleep. Only I


    and Devika are awake.


    Devika said having a serious look," It would be fine but I think we should wait for one year more."


    I said nodding my head," Umm.....It''s fine. But, it will be..............


    " No, but. I don''t want my children to take study pressure so early," She replied sternly.


    " Ok, I agree with you. Don''t get angry," I said smiling and as usual, she never smiled back to me.

    She talked with me normally just in front of our children. Otherwise, she doesn''t even properly talk with


    me where I am always eager to hear her soft voice.


    " They are asleep. Let them sleep here tonight. I am returning to my apartment," She informed me and


    stood up from the bed.


    She is now ready to leave the room. And like every time I am feeling like to not let her go away from


    me.


    Before she could leave the room I immediately stood up from the bed. I held her right hand and she


    looked at me raising her one brow.


    I said looking into her eyes," it''s been 3 years since I am trying to earn your forgiveness. Isn''t it


    enough? How many years it will take to earn your forgiveness, earn your love and trust?"


    " Leave my hand. I have to go to my apartment," She said totally ignoring my questions.


    This time I couldn''t control my frustrations anymore. I held her shoulder tightly and asked her," Don''t


    you feel anything for me? It''s been 3 years since I am trying to earn your forgiveness, love and trust. I


    have a patience level too. I think you have forgotten that I am a human too."


    " I think you know my answer already," She replied sternly making me more upset.


    Then I said to her with a broken voice," I know, Devika. Tell me what I should do? I have been waiting


    for your forgiveness and love for 3 years. I have done every possible thing to earn your forgiveness. In


    my whole life, I have never looked at any woman except for you. I have loved you truly. How can you


    not see my regrets? How can you not see my love? Don''t be so blind in anger."


    " It''s not easy for me to forgive you. You have done many wrongdoings to me," She said crying.


    I always want to see her smile, not her crying. I held her shoulder and said wiping her tears," Please,


    Don''t cry. I can''t see your tears. But, try to understand my situation, Devika. If I didn''t love you truly then


    I might have not wait for your forgiveness for 3 years."


    She is now looking into my eyes directly. I can see some emotions in her eyes.


    I said softly to her," For your happiness, I have divorced you. I have always given priority to your


    opinion regarding our children. I have asked for your forgiveness uncountable times. I have changed


    myself for you.


    In my heart, in my life, there is only one woman and that is Devika. What more should I do? At least for


    once, ask your heart that it want me or not."


    She is still silent without answering. Then, She started wriggling in my arms saying," Leave me. Don''t


    ask me anything. I have to go."


    I can see her unbearable expression.


    " No, today you have to give me an answer. I can''t live like that anymore. My patience level is


    breaking," I said to her and I felt wetness on my cheeks.


    She again tried to leave me when I said cupping her face in my palm," Devika, I admit that I have


    for 3 years having a hope that you will forgive me. Living without you was the biggest punishment for


    me. Don''t punish me like that anymore. I am breaking every time whenever you are ignoring me. Try to


    understand my heart''s pain."


    She is still silent and saying nothing. But, her eyes are moist.


    Then, I said to her softly," I know that somewhere in your heart I have made a ce for me. That''s why


    in these 3 years you never thought to move on with another person."


    " I didn''t move on only thinking about my children," She replied looking in another direction.


    " Is that so? Are you trying to deceive yourself or deceive me," I asked making her look into my eyes.


    Then I said kissing her forehead," I know Devika that you also feel something for me. You may not be


    saying anything by your mouth but I can see through your eyes. Tell me, what you feel? Tell me that


    you have forgiven me? Tell me that you are not angry with me anymore."


    She is still looking at me when I kissed her both eyes and cheeks. I said resting one hand on her


    heart," Don''t think from your mind anymore. Think from your heart. Tell me that you don''t feel anything


    for me. Tell me....."


    Suddenly, without saying anything she hugged me tightly and I be dumbfounded. She is crying


    non-stop hiding her face in my chest soaking my shirt.


    I started stroking her hair and asked," What happened, devika? Don''t cry, please."


    Then, she looked at me and said huping," Why.......do.......you.......love.....me?"


    " I love you without any reason. My heart beats for you without any reason. I felt some emotions only


    for you which I never felt for any woman. My love for you is unconditional. I love you, Devika," I said


    smiling at her.


    Then I said wiping her tears," I am sorry for pressurising you to tell me th............."


    I couldn''tplete my sentence when she again hugged me tightly and I also hugged her.


    I don''t know why she is hugging me right now. In these 3 years, she never touched me nor I touched


    her. Then, why is she hugging me! Maybe she needs somefort.


    I broke our hug and asked her," Why are you still crying? I promise you that I will never pressurise you


    to tell me your opinion until you tell me willingly."


    " Let me go," She replied hearing me and left the apartment hurriedly.


    I am not understanding her behaviour at all. What does she want? Sometimes I feel like she has


    forgiven me and sometimes I feel like she is still angry with me. I am not understanding what more I


    should do to earn her forgiveness and love.
