Chapter 56- Determination


    After three months


    Author''s p.o.v


    It''s been 3 months since Abhinav and Devika are living together. The doctor was right. Devika''s care,


    affection and the children''s presence were effective for Abhinav.


    He has remembered about his previous life a little. He has recognised his siblings and his Ruhani ma.


    He has also started going office. But, maximum time he spends his time in his house with his children


    and Devika.


    But, the memory of his revenge and some of his past memories are still unremembered by him. He


    doesn''t remember how he married Devika and why he married her. He only remembers that he is


    married and he has four children.


    He loves Devika and his children too much. He can not think of his life without Devika and his children.


    On the other hand, Devika is preparing divorce paper along with that paper where her conditions are


    written. She is understanding that Abhinav is now normal and it''s time for her to leave him. She has


    already talked with awyer regarding the divorce. Apeksha is helping her in this matter. Abhinav is still


    clueless that Devika is nning to divorce him. She doesn''t care what will happen to Abhinav when

    she will leave him. She is just fulfilling her promise which she made to Arnav.


    Right now, Devika is bathing her children one by one and Abhinav is helping her. Devika is smiling


    seeing her small children''s expression whenever she is putting lukewarm water on them. Abhinav is


    seeing her and admiring her.


    He thought mentally," you are looking beautiful with my children. My children are lucky to have a


    mother like you."


    Devika is putting water on Drishti when she noticed that Abhinav is looking at her intensely and his


    eyes are holding too much love. He is behaving like a perfect husband who loves his wife too much.


    She just ignored him. Once she wanted Abhinav to love her and make this marriage sessful but


    now she only wants to leave. She is suffocating here every time. She feels pity for Abhinav thinking


    about his mental condition but she can''t forget whatever Abhinav has done with her.


    After bathing the babies Devika is drying her small children''s body and putting baby oil on them.


    Abhinav is busy putting small baby clothes on his children.


    Looking at this scene anyone will admire them saying," what a happy family! where everyone is happy.


    But in reality, only Abhinav is looking happy. Devika isn''t happy. She can''t wait for that day when she


    will leave this man.


    The children are now giggling and ying with their father when their mother''s phone started ringing.


    Devika received the call and it''s none other than Apeksha. She informed that tomorrow is Bhabani


    Gupta''s trial in court. Well, Bhabani Gupta''s trial was postponed for some reason for two months.


    So, tomorrow is her trial in court. Nowyer is hired from her side because her children have turned


    their face from their mother. She is now totally alone.


    Devika became upset remembering her mother. She is feeling too much hurt thinking about her mother.


    After talking with Apeksha for some time Devika cut the call when Abhinav asked her," What


    happened? Why are you upset?"


    " Nothing," Devika replied.


    She doesn''t want to take Abhinav with her in court because she knows how much Abhinav hate her


    mother. What if he bes violent seeing her mother! That''s why she said nothing to Abhinav.


    Abhinav understood that something is wrong with Devika. He walked towards her and asked her


    holding her waist tightly," Tell me, what happened? Who called you?"


    " None of your business. Let me leave. I want to be alone for some time," Devika said sternly looking at


    Abhinav''s eyes.


    Abhinav is hurt hearing Devika''s rude word. He said caressing her cheeks," I won''t leave you ever. You


    are my wife. How can I leave you! Wherever you will go Abhinav Agnihotri will follow you".


    Hearing him Devika is now confirmed that Abhinav is normal. Yesterday, the doctor checked him and


    said that Abhinav''s condition is quite better. But, the doctor clearly told Devika that always keep


    Abhinav away from those things and persons who can trigger his past painful memories. That''s why


    devika doesn''t want to take Abhinav into court.


    Devika is wriggling in Abhinav''s embrace. Abhinav left her but he is determined that he will always be


    there with Devika.


    The Next Day


    At Court


    Bhabani Gupta is standing in the witness box in front of the judge. She is lowering her head and


    looking too much sick. She is devastated because her children hate her now and she has no reason


    left to live for.


    Devika, her siblings and the Agnihotri''s are also here. Devika didn''t want toe but she has to. She


    has to give statement against her mother for attempting to murder her children and murdering her


    father. Ruhi and Neel havee to support their sister. Not their mother. They are hating their mother


    for murdering their father.


    Bhabani Gupta is so devastated that she has confessed her every crime in front of the whole court.


    She confessed everything that she had done with Anamika Agnihotri.


    Hearing her the Agnihotri''s are shocked beyond level. Arnav understood the motive behind Abhinav''s


    revenge. Avantika and Arushi became dumbfounded after knowing everything. They all have lost their


    words.


    Everyone is shocked hearing Bhabani''s confession but Abhinav is looking totally impassive. He is


    staring at Bhabani''s face and his eyes are getting darkened. He clenched his jaw and fists. After


    looking at Bhabani for some time a smirk formed on Abhinav''s lips.


    Now, Apeksha is dragging Bhabani to the police van when she said in Bhabani''s ear sarcastically," I am


    d that you had sold me to a good person like my father Naveen Sinha otherwise my fate was going


    to be also like Devika."


    Bhabani Gupta isn''t saying anything. She has be a mute. She has lost everything and now has


    nothing to lose.


    She thought mentally," Vivek, very soon I will meet you. I can not stay here anymore."


    She wanted to meet her children but her children have no interest to meet her. Remembering her


    children, a few drops of tears escaped from her eyes.


    Bhabani will just get into the police van when Abhinav came forward and said to Apeksha," May I talk


    to my mother-inw a little?"


    Apeksha never likes Abhinav but seeing him talking like a normal person Apeksha became surprised.


    She knows about Abhinav''s illness.


    Moreover, seeing him without devika made Apeksha more surprised. Devika told Apeksha that Abhinav


    doesn''t leave her for a second. Apeksha just nodded her head in approval.


    Abhinav is smirking at Bhabani who is just watching the ground. Abhinav leaned to Bhabani''s ear and


    whispered," You will die by my hands. Just wait and watch".


    Saying that Abhinav is going to leave the ce when Apeksha said sarcastically," Mr Agnihotri, Seems


    like you arepletely fine. Don''t worry, very soon you will also be in jail".


    Abhinav heard Apeksha. He said with a sad expression," I will get what I deserve".


    Saying that he left the area.


    Apeksha is more surprised by hearing Abhinav''s words. He didn''t be angry even after hearing that


    Apeksha will send him to jail.


    " This man is really unpredictable. Devika was right," Apeksha thought mentally.


    Then the police took Bhabani Gupta to the central jail where she will spend the rest of her life.


    At Night


    Devika is lying on the bed with her children. She is thinking about her mother and shedding her tears.


    She is still in grief for losing her mother. She is cursing her fate for whatever is done with her.


    Abhinav is not at home. Aftering from the court he has be quiet and didn''t talk with Devika.


    He didn''t even meet his eyes with her like he is ashamed of something. Normally, he didn''t like to leave


    devika for a moment but it''s been hours since Abhinav has gone somewhere without telling Devika.


    She is not interested to know where has Abhinav gone.


    Devika is thinking about her future and her children''s future when Apeksha called on her phone.


    Devika received the call and before she could say anything, Apeksha said in one go," Bhabani Gupta


    has escaped from the jail"


    " What? I mean how?" Devika asked in disbelief.


    Apeksha informed," A few hours ago a fire ident urred in the central jail and after that incident,


    Bhabani Gupta is missing. She might have escaped from the jail"


    Devika isn''t understanding how she should react. Apeksha didn''t say anything further. She cut the call


    and Devika said worriedly," Where did you go, ma?"


    After two days


    Devika''s p.o.v


    " I have fulfilled my promise. Your brother ispletely fine now. Tell him to sign on the divorce paper,"


    I said to Arnav sternly.


    " Bhai, sign on the papers right now," Arnav said to Abhinav who is sitting on the couch like a statue.


    Well, I have shown Abhinav the papers and tell him about my promise to his family. He couldn''t believe


    his eyes and ears. He is totally shocked after seeing the conditions.


    Abhinav stood up from the couch and said to me with a heavy voice," How can you demand something


    like that? How can you tell me to stay away from my children?"


    Hearing him I didn''t react. I am totally expressionless. I just want to leave this ce as soon as


    possible. I am already in tension thinking that where has my mother gone and now this man.


    " Sign the divorce paper, right now," I said to him with my hard voice.


    " I am sorry, Devika. Please, don''t leave me. I am sorry for hurting you," he said joining his hands in


    front of me.


    Hearing him I startedughing. I said sarcastically," Sorry!! Why are you sorry right now!! Do you


    remember how I used to beg in front of you to not hurt me? Do you remember how much I have cried?


    You have destroyed my life".


    " I never knew that your mother was such a witch that she didn''t even spare her own daughter. If I knew


    all this then I might have not hurt you," He said lowering his head.


    This time I pped on his face and snapped at him," Even if my mother was wrong, what was my fault?


    For your and your family''s misery, I wasn''t responsible. Is there any logic for hurting a daughter for her


    mother''s sins!! I have tolerated enough. I won''t live with you anymore. Sign the papers. I want to


    leave."


    " I won''t sign on the papers," Abhinav said when Arnav held his hand and said with a pissed off tone,"


    Bhai, I have promised her about those conditions. Please, sign the papers"


    This time he pped Arnav on his face and screamed," She is my wife. I won''t leave her ever. I don''t


    give any shit about those conditions. I have every fucking right on her and my children".


    Hearing him my anger just exploded and I said grabbing his cor," You have no rights on me and my


    children. I have fulfilled my every duty and promise. Now, I want to leave this house and you".


    " So, you pretended that you love me?" He asked me holding my shoulder.


    I freed myself from his hold and replied sternly," As per the doctor''s consult you needed my care and


    my children''s presence. Your family requested me to be with you until you be normal. I have just


    fulfilled my promise. I never loved you."


    This time he held my shoulder tightly and said with a determined voice," I will never divorce you. You


    are mine from the first and you will remain mine. I will die rather than let you go".


    I can see the unhealthy obsession in his eyes for me. Though he isn''t looking violent but there is no


    guarantee that he will not be violent.


    I am wriggling in his arms when I heard Apeksha Di''s voice. She said angrily," Leave her right now".


    We turned behind and found her with three other policeman.


    He left my shoulder and looked at Apeksha Di raising his brows.


    Apeksha Di came forward and said," We have your medical reports that you are fine now. So, we are


    here to take you to jail. Don''t forget that you are still in police custody. The charges of domestic


    violence are still against you"


    Hearing her Abhinav startedughing like she has said any kind of joke. He looks at me and said


    directly looking into my eyes," You wanted to punish me by sending me into jail. Fine, then. I am ready


    to go to jail. After all, I deserve all this for hurting my innocent wife. Let''s go, officer. I am ready for any


    kind of punishment which my devika will give me".


    After hearing his statement I be shocked. He didn''t even react that he is going to jail!! I am seeing


    him with a shocked expression when Apeksha Di handcuffed him.


    I said to Apeksha Di," Tell him to sign the papers"


    Arnav also requested him to sign the papers. He ignored everyone and said smiling," I will againe


    to take you and my children. I will never leave you."


    I saw a promise and determination in his eyes. After seeing his determination I am sure that I have to


    escape from him anyhow.


    Apeksha di started dragging him towards the door. He said before leaving the room,"  I love you and I


    will againe for you and my children".
