Chapter 441
"Don''t worry. I''ll find the proof," Tilly sneered.
She didn''t have any on hand.
Kendall''s voice grew even icier. "So, this means you don''t have any proof that I betrayed Dn, right?
You don''t have any proof that I''m in cahoots with Frank, right?"
"I don''t care if the two of you are in cahoots. You and Frank are involved in some way or other, so you
can''t stay by my grandson''s side."
Tilly was hell-bent on making something out of the fact that Frank liked Kendall.
Kendall''s face turned from ash to scarlet in anger. "Old Madam Coleman, I know you don''t like me, but
it doesn''t mean you can make up false usations about me. How can you say that I''m involved with
Frank? I said it before, and I''ll say it again. Ever since I married Dn, I have never done anything to
betray him."
Emily wanted to say that she had evidence of Kendall having something going on with Frank. When
she hired a private investigator to tail Kendall, she found out about Frank''s obsession with Kendall.
However, her husband had talked her out of it and destroyed the photos, so she couldn''t tell Tilly about
it.
Now that it was the perfect time to get rid of Kendall, Emily wanted to bring it up, but her husband
stopped her.
She looked at him.
Fergus shook her head and muttered, "Emily, don''t make things worse."
Emily opened her mouth as she thought, How am I making things worse by proving that Kendall is
involved with Frank? What''s so good about Kendall anyway? She was in a rtionship with Jackson,
and she had something going on with Frank now. She was a subus! I can''t let her stay by Dn''s
side!
She agreed with Tilly. Ever since Kendall joined the family, Dn started getting into fights with her and
Tilly.
I can''t let Kendall stay in this family!
"Mom."
Yoseph and Matthew both pressed their mother''s hand quietly to warn her not to fan the mes.
Emily was angry and upset. She nced at Dn and saw the grim, menacing expression on his face.
Her heart jolted.
Although they were mother and son, she didn''t raise Dn herself, and she didn''t have the guts to bet
and see whether she was more important to him than Tilly.
In the end, Emily chose to stay silent and not make things worse.
"Kendall, I don''t want to hear your excuses. I only have onest thing to ask. Are you leaving or not?"
Tilly questioned coldly.
She was afraid that everything she had done today would be wasted if things carried on like this. Even
though this was going to affect her rtionship with Dn, given time, she was certain that Dn
would understand why she was doing this.
Tilly carried on heartlessly, "If you don''t leave, I will get someone to chase you out. If you leave, I''ll
allow you to keep your dignity. I''ve informed your parents toe and pick you up. You can gather
your things now and leave with them."
"Who dares to force my wife to leave?" Dn called out. He leveled a hardened gaze at Tilly, and his
voice was as cold as ice as he dered, "Grandma, Kendall is my wife. I know very well whether or not
she''s involved with Frank in any way. No one will ever be in a position to betray me. If Kendall betrayed
me, I would''ve been the first to make her life a living hell. I wouldn''t need you to help me punish her. If
you insist on chasing Kendall out, then chase me out as well. If this family doesn''t wee my wife,
then it doesn''t wee me, either!"
"Dn."
Kendall was fully aware that things wouldn''t turn out well today. Tilly had been waiting for this day for so
long now.
Kendall held Dn''s hand. "Dn, don''t do anything rash."
"Dn, are you threatening me?" Tilly''s expression was as dark as night as mes flickered in her
eyes. She was seething with rage!
The grandson she had raised all by herself was rebelling against her for the sake of a woman! He was
threatening to leave the family, too!
Tilly was so furious that her chest started hurting, and the color drained out of her face.
"Oh, my. Are you alright, Old Madam Coleman? Look how pale you are. Kendall, don''t make her any
angrier than she already is. She''s getting up in her years and can''t take such stimtion. You''ll be a
criminal in the eyes of the Colemans if you give her a heart attack. Hurry up. Get your things and follow
us home," Kelly cried out.
Adam wanted to p Kelly. He threw her a vicious re, but she pretended to have missed it.
Everyone turned to look at Tilly and realized that she was indeed deathly pale.
"Mom? What''s the matter, Mom? Calm down, Mom."
"Grandma?"
"Get the doctor!"
Everyone surged forward to ask Tilly to calm down and help her feel better.
Tilly continued to re at Dn as if she were about to get a heart attack.
Dn pressed his lips together tightly as his eyes filled with the pain of indecision.
Faced with this, Kendall knew there was no point in her trying to fight any further. She chose to give in.
She lowered her head and said to Tilly, "I''ll leave, Old Madam Coleman. You don''t need to make things
hard for Dn anymore."
She turned to leave at once.
"Kendall!" Dn grabbed her as he cried out her name hoarsely.
"Let me leave, Dn. Old Madam Coleman is your grandma. She raised you. You shouldn''t let an
outsider like me get in the way of your rtionship with her."
This belongs to N?velDrama.Org: ?.
Kendall tried to pull Dn''s hand off, but he refused to let go.
Adam stormed over and yanked Dn''s hand off before shielding Kendall behind him as he taunted,
"Old Madam Coleman is going to such extreme lengths just to get rid of my daughter. Fine. Since she
detests my daughter so much, I''ll take my daughter home with me at once, but before I leave, I''m going
to say a few words on my daughter''s behalf. Apart from liking Jackson once, Kendall has never had
feelings for any other man. Ever since she married Dn, she has been faithful to him. She has
nothing to do with Frank, and she can''t help it if Frank likes her.
"Everyone has the freedom to like whomever they want. Old Madam Coleman, even you can''t prove
that you never had any feelings for any other man in your youth before you married your husband."
Tilly''s expression darkened, but she couldn''t refute Adam.
Women all went through their stages of puppy love and youthful crushes.
"Where are your things, Kendall? We''ll help you pack. Come home with us now." Adam turned to look
at Kendall.
"Father!"
Dn felt as if his heart was being squeezed dry. He was caught between a rock and a hard ce.
"Dn, I know you trust Kendall, and I know you''ve been good to her, but you and Kendalle from
two different worlds. Even though we Parkers aren''t poor by any means, we''re still not good enough for
the great Colemans. Please have mercy and let Kendall off. Don''t let Kendall suffer through such
abhorrent grievances ever again."
"We won''t be taking Kendall''s things. If your family finds her belongings detestable, then just toss them
away," Charlotte dered before following her husband and daughter out.
Amos was frantic, but he didn''t dare to stop them from leaving.
Dn stood there and watched as the Parkers left.
I told her that even if the sky fell, I would hold it up for her, but what now?
With Tilly using her life to threaten him, he couldn''t harden himself to leave with Kendall.
The agony of failure and defeat washed over Dn. He drowned in his sorrow and despair.
