Chapter 401
Chapter 401 He Is a Kid
Never had Terrence been in such a panic.
With a pale face, Terrence hugged Alexa tightly.
“Rx.” Terrence repeatedlyforted Alexa. “We’ll be at the hospital soon. Alexa, hold on.”
“How is my child?”
Under pressure, Alexa broke down and burst into tears.
“It’s fine. You two will both be fine. Don’t worry!”
Terrence ran to the emergency department with Alexa in his arms and demanded the doctors start an
operation immediately.
Half an hourter, Edwin arrived with his investigation result.
“Mr. Ramsey, here is the update. The juice that Mrs. Ramsey drank is problematic.”
Edwin looked stern. “I got the sample and theboratory report. The waiters are under control.”
“Find the culprit!” Terrence looked intimidating. “We must find the mastermind!”
“Yes!”
One hour passed, and the door of the emergency department was finally open.
The doctor came out with sweat on his forehead and excitement on his face.
“Mr. Ramsey, your child is fine.”
Terrence asked without hesitation as if he hadn’t heard the doctor. “How is my wife?”
“Mrs. Ramsey is fine too,” the doctor patiently exined. “She took a small number of stimnts, so
the blood cirction in her body sped up.
Fortunately, there is no stimnt anymore.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Terrence nodded with relief and then felt a surge of hatred.
Alexa was pushed into the ward by a nurse. She was in aa, and all her skin was red with ayer of
cold sweat on it.
Terrence knew what the stimnt was.
The analysis report sent by Edwin confirmed what Terrence had thought.
“Who is the culprit?”
“I’m looking into the case.”
After Terrence left a few instructions to Edwin, an unexpected guest arrived.
Kieran hurried here because he heard that Alexa was in the hospital.
Kieran had been a doctor for many years and knew what was wrong with Alexa at a nce.
“She ate something she shouldn’t.” Then, Kieran asked coldly, “Did you get the culprit?”
Terrence rubbed the space between his eyebrows in frustration.
“Not yet.”
“Check Zeke.”
“Do you know him?”
“I got acquainted with Alexa because of him.”
Kieran did not have a good impression of Zeke.
“Back then, Zeke pestered her.”
“Scoundrel! He is digging his own grave.”
“Zeke is not simple. He is ambitious at least.” Kieran frowned. “I heard that he is connected with the
Duran family.”
“I don’t care who he is connected with.” Terrence’s tone was ice-cold. “He hurt my wife, so he deserves
his punishment.”
Kieran was supportive of Terrence on this point.
That night, Terrence personally took his men to the Duran’s ce.
Isobel was ying cards with arge group of rich people. Men and women gathered together, and the
air smelled bad with the smoke and wine in it.
The abrupt arrival of Terrence froze the lively atmosphere.
After one nce at Terrence, Isobel immediately changed her expression and went over with a smile.
“Terrence, why did youe?” Isobel was enthusiastic. “Hanna, please make some coffee.”
Terrence remained cold and waved Isobel’s hand away in front of the crowd.
Isobel felt embarrassed, and the smile on her face froze.
“Where is Zeke?”
“Zeke is studying upstairs. He is still a kid anyway.”
“A kid.”
Terrence sneered, and the light in his eyes became dangerous.
Isobel sent a servant to invite Zeke downstairs.
Zeke in in casual clothes did look like an innocent and harmless college student.
He beamed at the sight of Terrence.

“Terrence, what is up?”
Terrence threw the analysis report to Zeke without a word.
“Is this your work?”
“Sorry,” Zeke said with confusion. “I don’t understand what you are talking about.”
“Still ying dumb with me?”
Patient, Terrence told his man to bring him the ss.
“Do you recognize this? Your masterpiece at the engagement party.”
Seeing this, Isobel instantly defended her son.
“Terrence, Zeke is a kid. You will scare him.”
“Will I?” Terrence fixed his sinister gaze on Zeke’s face. “Which child will be more promising than him?
Or, Ms. Isobel, you brought up your child properly.”
Realizing that something was wrong, the guests tried to leave with excuses.
Terrence winked at his men, so the guests couldn’t leave.
“You still refuse to confess.”
Terrence lost his patience.
“I will turn to the judiciary for justice. You deliberately drugged my wife, so how many years do you think
you will be sentenced to?”
Hearing this, Isobel couldn’t maintain her smiling face.
“Terrence, what do you mean? How can you nder my son groundlessly?”
“He knows better than any of us whether it is a nder.”
Terrence sounded calm, but his polite smile was frightening.
“My wife doesn’t care how you fight for the property of the Duran family, so neither do I.”
Terrence’s voice was not loud, but everyone present heard it clearly.
“However, if you don’t know what’s good for you, don’t me me for being ruthless.”
This speech was like a p on the face of both Isobel and Zeke.
Isobel always tried to impress others that Zeke was the favored heir of the
Duran family, and what Terrence had just said ruined her scheme.
Angry, Isobel pped Zeke.
“Stupid thing! Apologize to Terrence now!”
Zeke immediately turned red in the eyes and looked pitiful.
However, Terrence felt nothing but vexed.
“Alright, see you in court.”
Terrence was kind to Zeke because he didn’t use violence on the spot.
Terrence drove back to the hospital after leaving the Duran’s ce.
Alexa was fine but still weak.
When Terrence arrived at the ward, Alexa just woke up.
“Terrence,” Alexa spoke in a hoarse voice.
Her eyes were still red. Obviously, she had a good cry.
Terrence felt a sharp pain in his heart.
“Alexa.” Terrence held Alexa in his arms withpassion. “You’re fine now. Don’t worry.”
“Is our baby fine?”
“Yes, very.”
Alexa nodded in a daze.
Then, she asked, “Who?”
“I’ll deal with this case,” Terrence spoke calmly.
He gave Alexa a small kiss on her ruffled hair.
“Sleep now. Good night.”
“Stay with me.”
“Okay. I won’t leave.”
Alexa couldn’t fall asleep unless she was in Terrence’s arms.
It was early the next morning. Aron came to visit Alexa.
Terrence blocked Aron at the door of the ward to stop him from disturbing
Alexa in sleep.
“What happened? I heard that you sent Zeke to prison.”
