Outside the Jiang Forest
Calling it Jiang Forest now is no longer appropriate, as nothing that can be referred to as a tree can be seen in the once verdant forest and valley. The ground is broken and turned, and the giant pits densely popted like meteor impacts leave the entirend scarred.
Powerful Spirit Arts are erupting everywhere from the sky to the ground, Extreme Sharp Finger Force, golden palms, Qingmu Battle Body, Divine Wood Aurora, Phoenix Wings Soaring.
in this extremely chaotic battlefield, every warrior of the Fierce Realm is on high alert, especially the four people in the center of the battlefield.
They are like the most important keystones in the war. Whenever their own side suffers too many casualties, theye up with a way to stage aeback. Tang Siyuan’s Extreme Mang Finger, Tang Sen’s Sky-picking Hand, Mi Yang’s Divine Wood Strike, Mi Hai’s Qingmu Ferocious Body.
Although each consumes a great extent of energy, they all possess extreme powerhouse abilities and can decisively influence the oue of a battle, especially their divine wood incarnations and giant avatars, which can scatter the battle groups as soon as they appear.
Mi Yang is deserving of his title as the Great Elder of the Mi n. Only he can withstand Tang Sen, even in hand-to-handbat. Even though the enhancement of his physique from having divine wood bloodline isn’t as strong as those with divine power bloodline, his Spiritual Power is nearly twice that of Tang Sen. Even though he was still shaken by the tremendous force and was in pain, the ceaseless characteristic of his wood-type martial artsbined with the quick recovery ability of his divine wood bloodline allows him to roughly engage in closebat with Tang Sen.
This, at the very least, restricted Tang Sen’s movements effectively. Otherwise, an invincible monster in closebat rampaging in the battlefield could cause heavy casualties.
Meanwhile, Tang Siyuan and Mi Hai were fighting against each other. Only the Qingmu Battle Body, which has fused with numerous dangerous “weak water” forces, could withstand Tang Siyuan’s Extreme Sharp Finger Force without falling to a critical condition in one hit.
It was this mutual restraint of these four that allowed the battlefield to maintain a bnce, giving other Martial Ancestors the opportunity to disy their strengths.
However, as the battle dragged on over time, Mi Yang and Mi Hal became increasingly anxious because the time for Tang Sen’s giant avatar to recover was approaching. If no reinforcements came, it was obvious that the Mi n would suffer heavy casualties soon.
just when they were feeling desperate, a huge beam of cyan-red light rushed in from the south of the sky. The overwhelming energy, which didn’t avoid the battlefield at all, separated Mi Yang and Tang Sen who were in the midst of fighting and tore a deep trench in the ground.
Seeing this beam of light, the morale of the Mi n Martial Ancestors was boosted, and they were able to repel an attack from the Tang n Martial Ancestors, resulting in a standoff in mid-air.
in the entire Mi n, only Sect Head Mi Hu couldunch such a powerful Divine Wood Strike. Tang Sen looked up and saw that Mi Hu descended alone. When they saw that only Mi Hu had arrived, the previously uplifted spirits of the Mi n Martial Ancestors suddenly darkened.
It was quite obvious that Sect Head Mi Hu did note as reinforcement, but to stop the fight.
A millennium of rivalry, the Tang n and the Mi n have fought countless times outside the city, even though they ally inside.
Ambush, surprise attacks, breakouts, assault, contest, aerialbat, fieldbat, navalbat, nightbat.
As professional warriors, they were born to fight for their families, and the conflicts between noble families often revolved around interests rather than grudges.
So if a warrior loses his life, it is more often due to negligence or inadequate skill than to grudges. Even if a direct descendant Martial Ancestor is killed, it is rare for any vows of vengeance to be made.
This battle was one of the very few instances where the two families fought for an individual. After all, Mi Chu was the future of the Mi n and the beloved great-great-grandson of Mi Yang.
Even so, Mi Yang didn’t call upon his n, only bringing his immediate three hundred Feathers Guard.
Fighting with Tang Sen was entirely Mi Yang’s decision, not that of the Mi n. It wasn’t until Mi Hai led his people here that it represented the Mi Family’s support for Mi Yang’s personal vendetta.
They thought charging into battle with resentment would yield some gains, but the situation gradually began to tilt towards the Tang n, and Mi Hu’s arrival to cease the fight signified that they had lost this battlefield.
Although they were unwilling to ept it, the Tang Family, now with an extra form of attack, undeniably has greatly improved theirbat abilities. Especially in the case where the Vermillion Bird Seal suppressed Qingmu Battle Body, which gave the Mi n Martial Ancestors even more headaches.
But after a thousand years of conflicts between the two ns, victories and defeats have been shared. It’s nothing more than losing a battlefield. The Martial Ancestors subdued their spirits, adjusted their states of mind, and waited for the Sect Head to speak.
Arriving from the south of the sky, Mi Hunded in the formation, greeted Tang Siyuan and Tang Sen, and said, “Apologies for the intrusion, gentlemen.” Being a man of few words, Tang Sen stepped back a little, leaving the stage to Tang Siyuan. Dealing with verbal exchanges during such matters was not his strong suit, so he had no intention of answering.
The Great Elder, who is very familiar with the First Head of the Martial Hall’s style, took a step forward and said to Mi Hu, “Sect Head, why have youe to the battlefield?”
“Why ask when you already know the answer, Elder? This war… it’s time to stop,” Mi Hu answered directly, eyes squarely meeting Tang Siyuan’s.
The Mi n Martial Ancestors started to stir again. Although they had anticipated this result, hearing Mi Hu actually voice it out still made them ufortable.
Especially those who had performed well in the battle could not help but grip their weapons tighter. Their faces alternated between expressions of anger and shame, plex and bitter.
Historically, the side which offers to cease the war first always has to pay a price. Such are the rules of war. Especially for a war involving sixty Martial Ancestors, the n’s loss can be easily imagined.
This made the Mi n Martial Ancestors feel extremely ufortable, as they regarded family interests as their lifeline. Yet, they had to admit defeat, they could only hang their heads, refusing to let the enemy see their ashamed expression.
Among them, the one most reluctant to cease the war was the Great Elder, Ml Yang. No one understood more than he did what Mi Chu meant to the Ml n. The future has been cut, and the Mi n has lost too much. Ceasing the battle at this point was an absurdly shortsighted decision, and he didn’t think that Ml Jin would make such a decision.
About to voice out his disagreement, he was stopped by Mi Hai next to him. Thetter conveyed a very clear message with her eyes, which was to leave this matter to Mi Hu and trust the n’s decision.
Mi Yang forcefully suppressed his inner rage. With a cold grunt and a flick of his sleeve, he shook off Mi Hai’s arm. His face showed clear anger, but he spoke no more.
Mi Hu then said to Tang Siyuan, “Let’s follow the old rules. All damages to the Tang n’s spiritual armors, medicinal pills, and Xuanji Jades from this battle will be billed to the Mi n. Every participating Martial Ancestor will receive apensation of fifty million, and we will deliver the equivalent assets to the Tang n within three days. Elder, what do you think?
Such is war. While the winners reap the spoils with smiles on their faces, the losers not only have to lick their own wounds but also pay arge amount of gold.
Noble families wage wars only when they are sure they can win and never initiate wars lightly because the risks of losing, even for a family as established as the Mi n, are as painful as cutting off flesh.
Battles involving the entire n could lead to a n losing nearly half of its foundations in a single defeat.
Great Elder Tang Siyuan did not express an opinion and turned his head to inquire of Tang Sen, “What do you think, First Head?”
“Not enough.” Sect Head Tang Sen shook his head, decisively stating to Mi Hu, “Add Mi Jing too.”
This war could have been avoided had he not stayed in Jiang Forest, thus provoking a fight with Mi Yang. The key point now is that he wants the whole Xiling to know, anyone who dares toy a hand on Tang Luo is courting death, no matter who they are!
