Den felt a sense of powerlessness in
his chest. “So, you’re going to change yourself even if it means sacrificing your body?”

and said, “I owe it to her, and I promised her that I won’t ever let Brendan show up before her again. I w

Kyran did not even blink. “I want Brendan to disappear from this world before
I go to Germia. I want to turn him into a dead man to set my mind at ease to be with Deirdre.”

Deirdre heard themotion coincidentally when she got out of the room. She walked down the stairs,
and her expression changed drastically. “What’s going on? Are you having a fight?”
She was extremely nervous, and Kyran looked up at her while he said in aforting tone, “No.”
Den assumed his smile and exined, “We just
have differing opinions about the project. Kyran and I will never fight in view of our close rtionship.”
Deirdre felt that way too, not because she believed in their rtionship but because Den was a reser
ved man. If he was angry enough to be involved in a fight, it would be something very serious.
