Falling For My Mysterious Wife By Cassidy Alfaro Chapter 183
Chapter 183
At nine o’clock, Jalen arrived at the Halton’s Residence.
It was rare for him toe back early. He was about to have a good rest, but somehow, he felt
unnerved, as if something bad was going to happen.
He took out his phone and wanted to call ina, but he soon remembered that Graham said there was
no signal in the vige where ina stayed. He couldn’t reach her.
He got up from the bed and walked to the balcony, feeling inexplicably agitated.
Suddenly, the phone rang. Jalen quickly returned to his room and picked up the phone.
“Mr. Halton, I just received the news that a massive earthquake had struck Cumbend County. The
Greene Vige where Ms. Gainsford stays is in the center of the earthquake and haspletely
lost contact with the outside.” Graham’s voice was urgent.
An earthquake?
Jalen’s face turned pale. He forced himself to calm down. “Arrange a helicopter, and prepare medicine
and emergency supplies. I will fly straight over.”

“Okay.”
Jalen hung up the phone. His heart was still beating violently. He finally knew where the inexplicable
uneasiness came from.
At the airport, Jalen boarded the helicopter.
Seeing Graham want to follow, Jalen said, “You don’t have to go. Go to New Jersey and prepare some
first aid supplies. Take the satellite phone and wait for my call.”
“Mr. Halton, but your safety…”
“That’s the order.” Jalen did not give him the chance to speak. “Don’t say anything to my
grandfather.”
Then Jalen informed the pilot to take off. Graham watched the helicopter fly far away. He could only
pray that both Jalen and ina would return safely.
At Greene Vige, the aftershock waves were still strong.
But ina did not n to just stand there and wait.
“Mr. Collins, count the number of vigers and see if all of them are here,” ina said.
ina didn’t know what the magnitude of tonight’s earthquake was, but it must be terrible. In such
a situation, people who couldn’t get out of the house had to be rescued timely.
Miguel counted the number of vigers and quickly returned to ina. “There are a total of 3,520
people in the vige. But we have only 2,500 people here, which means that there were still 1,020
people trapped in the earthquake.”
“What?” ina was shocked. How could there be so many people who had not run out?
“Our vige is quite broad. Some vigers live halfway up the mountain. The earthquake happened
too quickly for them to react.” Miguel sighed.
ina looked at the copsed houses in the distance and made a decision. “We must start the search
and rescue work immediately.
“Mr. Collins, can you organize some young people to search houses for survivors? I will go to the clinic
to get emergency supplies. We need to find all the vigers.”
Although they all knew that it was impossible to find all the people, they had to try.
Miguel nodded, but then shook his head. “Dr. Gainsford, you stay here. I’ll get someone to go to the
clinic to get the supplies you need. We can’t let anything happen to you.”
“I must go,” ina said, “There is limited manpower. Leave the women to take care of the children
and the elderly. The rest all go to search.
“But look out for the danger! There can be aftershocks at any time. You must put your own safety
first.”
Miguel looked at ina in front of him, his feelingsplicated. “Okay, you too.”
ina nodded and then ran towards the clinic.
Miguel watched her back disappear into the dark night. His eyes turned red. “Dr. Gainsford is a good
person.”
