Chapter 103
Chapter 103
Jalen did not speak, but his sullen face was self–exnatory.
Based on his understanding of ina, she would agree. What was more, she would be very proactive.
“See you tonight, Mr. Halton. I hope you won’t tip off the Lory family.” Saul waved at Jalen, got into the
car, and left.
Jalen watched as Saul’s shy red sports car disappeared. His eyes were cold when he looked back at
the floor where ina was. Then he turned to leave as well.
ina went back to sleep again until noon. Only then did she stop being so drowsy. She got up the bed
and habitually checked her phone.
Joyce sent her a message, telling her that it was Nitzan’s birthday party tonight and asking her if she
wanted toe together.
ina replied to Joyce and then checked the texts others had sent her.
Jenica also texted ina, telling ina that she wouldn’t make it to Nitzan’s birthday party tonight. She
wanted ina to wish Nitzan a happy birthday on her behalf.
ina felt helpless. She thought, it seems that Jenica has been busy ever since the Gansburg family
nearly went bankrupt and she decided to go to work at the Gansburg Group. She is a qualified heir.
Saul also texted ina, saying that he would pick her up at six o’clock in the afternoon. ina replied:
“OK.”
After checking all the texts, ina got up to wash up and then slowly fixed lunch for herself.
After lunch, it was still early before six o ‘clock in the afternoon. She did not sit around. Instead, she
began to search for news rted to the Lory Group.
As she said, she was not the forgiving type. Marcus drugged her. She wouldn’t let him get away easily.
Maybe she could not take Marcus down in one go. However, she could do it slowly. The bottom line
was, she wouldn’t sit still while doing nothing.
Listedpanies often went wrong financially, and that was where ina was nning on targeting.
She was reading the news carefully when her phone rang suddenly.
“Theodore,” ina picked up the phone and said with a smile.
“Are you free tonight? Come with me to a birthday party,” Theodore said.
ina knew it was Nitzan’s birthday party without being told. “Theodore, if you’re talking about Mr.
Halton’s birthday party, I’m afraid that I’ll have to turn you down.”
“Why?”
“I have already said yes to someone else,” she replied. She did not mention a specific name.
This belongs to N?velDrama.Org.
She knew Theodore. If he knew that she would show up with Saul, he would nag and tell her to stay
away from Saul.
She thought, it’s a one–time thing anyway, so there’s no need to let him know. He’ll get worried.
Theodore didn’t ask further. He said, “Alright then. I’ll get Andrew to join me then.”
“OK. Andrew ought to go to more of these parties before he bes a nerd.” ina figured that
perhaps none of the programmers ever left home. Anyway, Andrew was one of them.
Theodore suddenly got down to business. He said, “The thing with the Lory family is rtively tricky.”
He had been busy these days. In addition to the business, he had to find someone to do some digging
about the Lory family, but there had been no progress.
“It’s fine, Theodore. Take it slow.” She was not discouraged. It wasn’t supposed to be easy to take
down a big family. She was mentally prepared.
“Anyway, that Marcus is a tarnished figure indeed. Should we start with him? Maybe we should send
him to prison for a few years,” Theodore suggested. He hated Marcus‘ guts.
He thought, damn him for making a move on ina!
ina thought for a moment and said, “Sending him into prison is easy. However, he’ll be fine as long
as the Lory family is still out there.
“Besides, we’ll spook the Lory family by doing this. It’ll do us no good.”
Once the Lory family became wary, it would be even harder for them to find loopholes.
