Five yearster.
Walking outside to the garden we are having a dinner out here with our friends at my pack, the grill is lit
and our kids are running around and ying together.
Seeing Destiny running around with Jessie''s daughter on thewn, they are best friends and have
been since day one they met. I''m happy they got each other and love to hang out, Emma and Cannon
got a son and he is ying with our other daughter while Mateo is kicking a football with Kian.
"Dezz slows down a bit, I don''t want you to fall and get hurt!" I shout to her when she halts in her track
and looks at me.
"I''m not falling!" she says and picks up her pace when she starts running again, she has always been
fast and quick to learn anything. Much faster than her brother and I only hoped we could have lifted the
curse from her.
Through all these years I don''t know how many witches we have met to try and solve this puzzle,
Michael and Emma have done everything they possibly could have done but without finding a clue.

" I hear Emma''s voice and I know she understands what''s on my mind, turning my head I see her
standing beside me before she takes a seat on the chair and looks at Dezz when she runs around on
thewn.
“I know but I can''t help it!" I say in response when she hands me a ss of wine, sipping on it while
looking at all the children.
“everyone else here has a future and hopefully a good one, what will she have? A half a life because of
what he did!" I say before I turn to look at her.
“we don''t know what lies ahead of her mabie down the line we will find a way for her or she finds her
own way, you know how headstrong she already is and I have a feeling she picked up something more
from the vampire besides she needs to have some blood from time to time!" Emma says and snaps my
head back and looks at her, what has she picked up that I haven''t had any feeling about?
"What have you picked up?" I say questioning to her while she sits in silence and looks at her turning
my head in her direction to try to figure out what it is.
“if you ce your worry to the side and just take her in you will feel it too!" Emma says when I sit there
and try to do as she said, I know my judgment is clouded by my worry and it takes a long moment until
I feel what she does.
Sitting up in my seat I keep my eyes on her where she is running around andughing.
“Now you know the same as I!" Emma says and it doesn''t change the curse but it has me smiling at
least.
"How could I have missed it!" I say and take another sip of the wine.
“the rest we will figure out in time and we are all by her side whatever happens! She is only six years
old and there is a long time until she is eighteen and about to shift!" Emma says and she is right, I have
to try and enjoy our time here, and now the future we have to face the problems when theye.

"I hope there is some food soon, I''m starving!" I hear Jessie''s voice when shees and takes a seat
beside us on the chair, her stomach is big and they are expecting their second child in a few weeks.

“yes it''s getting better for every day and now I can''t get enough food!" she says when I see Zoey and
my brotheres walking with their child. They got a boy and he is two years now, a copy of my
brother and just adorable.
“food is ready in a bit!" Denes over and says when I see Kian and Mateo stop kicking the ball
and walk back to where we are.
“not long until it''s time!" Kian says to Jessie when he walks behind the chairs and leans down to give
me a kiss on my cheek.
"can''t wait for it to be over, miss shifting as much as thest time, and all this puking every day is not
for me!" she says and sighs when Den leans down and kiss her.
"Well I love to have you this way, at least I know where you are!" he says and I can''t help but chuckle at
him I know Jessie often wanders off without telling him and I know it''s driving him a bit crazy, by the
look of it their daughter will be just the same as her and thebination with our daughter won''t make
it easier because she is worse than what Jessie''s daughter is.
“We will have our hands full with those two!" I say and look their way when Den takes a step to the
side and looks the same way.
“yes, we will! And I can guarantee we will have to rescue them more than once because they have
gotten themselves in a bad situation!" Jessie says and chuckle, all the times we have gotten into
problem together we know they will probably end up the same way.
Emma starts tough by my side and I turn to look at her when she feels my gaze on her and turns my
way.
“with you two as their mothers how can you expect anything else!
" she says and give me a wink before standing up to go and help set the table, I get up from my seat
and walk around to Kian when he wraps his arms around me before pulling me closer to him.
"My parents areing over tonight and watch the kids this weekend!" he says next to my ear and I
don''t understand why.
“why?" I have to ask him
“you and me are going to have some alone time in a cabin!" he says in a husky voice beside my ear
that sends a chill down my spine, he still affects me this way after all these years.
"I only have to pack a few things when we go back!" I say when he ces his hand behind my head.
“for what I have in mind there''s no need for clothes!" he says and presses his lips to my mark before he
captures my lips with his.
