Selena POV:
Running for a bit when Zoey’s mind links me.
“Going to the right first?”
“Yes, I’m right beside you!” I mind link back and cutting it when we start to head over to the right.
Running for a moment when wee to a clearing and see two people standing there. Slowing down
when I see who it is and shifting right before we reach over to where they stand.
“What are you two doing?” I say while walking up beside them to look at what they are looking at.
“Feeding the birds!” Jessie says all too eager in her voice and I understand what they have done.
Looking at the clearing ahead of us there are several birds on the ground picking up small body parts.
Turning my head back and looking at Cannon her has a satisfied smile on his lips and he has taken a
shower and gotten all that blood off him.

“You couldn’t have told us first before we hurried over here?” I say and shake my head when Zoey
comes walking up beside me.
“I don’t even want to know what you had to do to get the body parts to pieces!” I say when Jessie starts
to chuckle beside Cannon.
“you two havepletely lost it!” I say and point at them when we see arge bird take a chunk from
the ground before lifting with it.
“Ah, nice one!” Zoey says and I turn my head to look at her in shock for a moment. She looks between
me and the clearing a few times.
“What?! You can’t say it’s not satisfying when you know whoys there chopped up in small pieces to
be birdsh*t!” she says with a serious look on her face. I can’t help but chuckle at her. Shaking my
head at them when Jacobes running up beside us.
“What are you doing here?” he says and Zoey and Jessie answer at the same time.
“Feeding the birds!” now I can’t help butugh at their eagerness. Jacob gets it right away and starts to
chat with Cannon.
Taking onest look at the clearing before I decide to head back and let them stay here. I don’t need to
stay here and see it! I’m satisfied with the knowledge he won’t be taking another breath again and
E’s worse nightmare is dead.
“I’m going back! Have a lot to do” I say and turn to walk away. They are all upied with looking at the
clearing when I leave them. Shifting I start to head back to the pack house and all the work I need to
have done.
Running back alone I head right for the pack house and shift when I reach it. Picking up my clothes
from the porch I take them on before heading inside and walking up to my office.
I hear Emma and Sari talking down in the kitchen before I reach the top of the stairs and walk into my
office.
Leaving the door open when I walk over and take a seat in my office chair.
Seeing Emma has left the potion on my desk I take it up and look at it. Holding it in my hand when
Emmaes walking inside and closing the door after her.
I know right away it’s something she wants to talk to me about.
cing the potion back on my desk and lean back in my seat when I turn my head and look at her
when she walks over and takes a seat in front of me.
She has a troubled expression on her face.
“What’s the problem?” I ask her when she doesn’t say anything.
“What did you find?” she says and I look at her close for a moment to see if she knows more than she
should but I didn’t get that feeling.
“Only a dead animal! Nothing more” I say in a calm voice and don’t take my eyes from hers. She sighs
and starts to squirm in her seat.
“Just tell me what is bothering you!” I say when she looks down at herp.
“I miss Cannon!” she says and I smile at her. Happy she wants her mate.
“Do you want me to get him here?” I ask her knowing he already is here and done with what I brought
him here to do.
“Yes! But I want something more from you!” she says and starts to fiddle with her fingers in herp.
Waiting for her to continue I keep my eyes on her. It takes a
moment for her to raise her eyes and look at me.
“I want you to talk to him! I saw what he did to you in the prison in my vision, and I don’t want there to
be any hard feelings between you two before I can ept him. as a mate. You are my family and
family alwayses first!” she says and I can’t help but smile at her. If she only knew I hold nothing
against him and because he did what he did when I was in their prison I asked him for help with the
rogues. To me, he only did his job! But I can’t tell her all this.
“I have no hard feelings against him and you know he only did his job! The one who should be
punished for this is Kian instead who ordered him” I say and give her a wink when she starts tough.
“I already think Kian is being punished enough!” she says betweenughs and I join her for a moment.
Herughter is contagious. She stops after a while and looks at me with a serious expression.
“To me, it would feel better if you two talked and got it out of the way. I know he feels bad for beating up
his Queen and Luna!” she says and I chuckle at the thought when she put it that way. I guess she is
right tho!
“Alright, I will talk to him if it makes you feel better and get him here!” I say and see her take a deep
breath and give me a big smile.
“Yes,” she says with the biggest smile and gets up on her feet. She starts to head over to the door
before she stops and turns back to look at me.
“I’m d to see you consider not taking the potion!” she says and gives me a wink before she opens
the door and walks outside. Leaving me behind to chuckle at her.
Thinking about what she wanted me to do I have to think of something good. I want this to be over with
if she feels it’s a big issue between them. I have no problems with him and what he was ordered to do!
But then again, if I’m going to get back at him somehow this is a great opportunity. Smiling at the
thought when I got the best idea! Mind linking Jessie when she is fast and picking it up.
“I need your help with something!” I say through the mind link
“Yes! What can I do?” she mind links back.
“You are going to help me with a punishment for Cannon!” I say when I hear herugh through the
mind link.
“I’m all in for it!” she says and I can practically see her big smile right now.
Letting her know my ns sheughs hard when I cut the mind link and turn to myputer before
printing some papers and ce on my desk. I have to hurry up with the punishment before I head over
to my work and get the papers I need. Knowing I have to get back to Kian and let him know the new
information and help to go through the documents.
Turning off theputer I start to head out of my office and the nagging feeling is back that we are
missing something!
Reaching the door, I turn to look back at my office desk. The potion is standing there and if I’m not
taking it, I will go into heat soon.
I know he is sorry for what he did and giving me all the time, I need to ept him, but I’m done thinking
about it! I want my mate! He will have a lot of time to make it up to me after.
