    Two days had passed since the meeting on our n for summer vacation. Today was wednesday.


    Just as I had expected, the members that were due for home visit had already buried themselves into preparation. Though, today was the exception where they had to set aside everything. For today was the very day where the promotion of ?Arc-Arcadia? was at stake!


    After sses, all ten members of ?Arc-Arcadia? had gathered at a certain ce. We also had everyone''s presence from ?Eden? as well, so this makes full attendance.

    "Get ready everyone! The task that I had prepared for ?Arc-Arcadia? is—E-rank promotion exam!!"


    "E-rank promotion exam huh."


    The first reaction came from Aegis-senpai, parroting my words back. Though, there wasn''t a hint of surprise on her.


    "Exactly. This is the task I have prepared for intra-guild promotion. By the way, it''s a 8vs5 match. Kind of irregr, but don''t sweat over it, and of course, ?Arc-Arcadia? will be participating with 8 members."


    And this was why I had called them here—in the ?No.7 Arena? where we had once taken our E-rank promotion exam as well.


    When ites to arenas, what else could there be a reason beside guild battle! This match would serve as both the intra-guild promotion as well as overall guild rank up! A ‘take one, get another promotion free’ bonanza!


    During our match, it was ?5vs3?, but that was something we had chosen by ourselves in fact. Most of the guilds taking stairs to E-rank promotion were still fledgling, making it a tough—and sometimes impossible—to take down the Big Castle by just five of them, so there''s a participation limit up to 10. Of course, this also means their opponent would get an increase in their numbers.


    But with Alulu and Nico opting out, this left them with 8 members. And the one going to be their opponent was——

    Yup, it waspletely possible to have a guild y out the role of an opponent in a rank promotion exam. If not guilds, then the role of examiner would have been of teachers. But they’re teachers. Of course they have mountains of things to attend to. Something like a small team of 3 teachers was possible, but more than that? The request would generally be handed to a student guild. I had already put in a request to be the opponent guild and d to say we were safely picked up, yay.


    Well, a matchup between parent-guild and sub-guild was actually not rare at all. If anything, it was just natural for a parent-guild to take the role of examiner. This was also a perfect chance to score some achievement and appeal to the academy like ''hey look, we''re a perfect fit to be an examiner.''


    It was also a test for them, and if they stood up to it and proved their worth, they would also gain the right to be the examiner and have requestse their way; like the ?sh of Flower? guild that had been our opponent as well as examiner in D-rank promotion exam.


    A guild that was a promotion exam-examiner means the academy would remember it more clearly, it would be easier to rack in achievement and the QP from rewards was just loaded. Oh, and it also helps out in employment. Plus many more things to do in guild battle—their main field, a full load of plus.


    But the academy wasn''t so idle as to let anyone without achievement take off their sessdder. Want a simr quest? Make sure to cough up some achievement. This was also one of the perks of having a subordinate guild that cost so many QP to maintain.

    "Anyone got a question to ask? If not, then please head to your waiting room. Laveena-sensei and Mukai-sensei, the judges for this match, would teach you about the rules and techniques for the guild battles. There are some who knows them already so make sure to fill neers as well."


    Once I was done answering all the questions, ?Arc-Arcadia? vanished into the arena''s waiting room. Alright, we also gotta be on our way to prepare.


    I ascended onto the audience stand and walked up to where ?Eden? members had gathered. Incidentally, Lana and Lulu hadpletely ballooned their cheeks.


    "Well, well, your wait is almost over, everyone. Though I guess it''s still gonna take two hours around for them to get over with theory and practical lessons, so hang for a while."


    "Who cares how long its going to take! Tell me why I amn''t in the examiner''s line-up! Answer me, Zephyr!"

    Oops, herees the ballistic protest. And whoops, their vanished the protestors.


    Ester and Shizu appeared the next instant and took away Lana by grabbing her shoulders. Meanwhile Lulu was taken into a hug and out of here by a grinning Celia.


    "Cough, I want you all to look at their performance and grade them. You may also take these two hours to see their mock practice and evaluate them."

    "I just need to vote for who was better, right? Alright, I have got it down." (Hannah)


    Sierra, and then followed by Hannah, gave their node at my request.


    My request to them was to just look at the members, grade them and then vote whichever they think should be promoted, just as Hannah noted it down. And those that pass the certain score would get promoted. Well, let''s hope they don''t fumble. I''m skeptical if we would even get five members. But in case we have six or more candidates avable to select from, we would be finalizing the top 5.


    Though I just want them to do their best. It''s not like failing here would be the end of the road. I would have them take another intra-guild promotion examter.


    I exined the basic grading score to our members, and made sure they don''t go easy on them. We''re guild on our expressway to target S-rank in the guild after all. I want them to know there''s no hope for their promotion with a lukewarm attitude.


    After some time, ?Arc-Arcadia?, seemingly finishing their theory ss, moved to practical lessons and then to training. We all stared at them with appraisal eyes. In fact, even Lana and Lulu—who were back in the meantime, though I didn''t notice when—appraising them with all seriousness.


    Time flew by in a sh while we were engrossed in our evaluation and soon, training and mock practice had ended as well.
