Chapter 12 Cousins
"Xander, Amanda?" Sett frowned as he realized it was his two cousins.
Xander was a handsome man, and Amanda was a beautiful girl, but because of her sharp and
sarcastic remarks, Sett always tried to get far away from her, like she was some kind of gue.
Also, Xander had a long feud with him; his cousin Xander had always wanted to suppress him; after all,
he was the young master of the Crossword family and had the same qualifications to be the next head
of the family, so Xander would want to get rid of him.
"Oh! Do you still remember me and my pig of a cousin? Don''t be pretentious next time, alright? Calling
someone like it''s something important, ha! Stop acting, will you? But I have to say your acting is
somewhat good.Giving you a title as a"Pig Actor" would be a sensation." Xander coldly chuckled.
"Anyway, what are you doing here when Grandpa has already banished you two? It''s not that I want to
insult you, siblings, especially you Fatty, but I''ve got to say, after being chased out of the family, you still
dare show your face at Grandpa''s birthday? Your face thickness could easily rival a concrete wall!"
"There''s merit in what you said, Xander.These siblings sure have thick skin for showing themselves
here."

"But don''t worry, Pig and my dear little cousin Nini, I''ma benevolent cousin, so I can let you inside!
That''s if your brother licked my shoe!"
"You''re going too far, Amanda!" Sett red at her.
It was impossible to not be enraged after what they said.Not to mention, there was arge, respectable
crowd at the entrance gate.
"Going too far? Think again, pig.Grandpa already stated he didn''t want anything to do with Uncle
Charles.Aren''t you just here to get yourself food? After all, your parents are poor as h*ck!"
Amanda didn''t hesitate to involve Sett''s parents.Just to taunt him.Sett suddenly heard a crying sound.
Immediately, his face changed as he realized it was Nini crying beside him.He bit his lips.
Damn it! ''I shouldn''t have brought Nini with him.I should''ve expected it much earlier!''
He was feeling guilty about bringing Nini, but then he was surprised as Nini wiped her tears away.She
looked at Amanda with an angry expression on her tiny face.
"Brother is right, sister Amanda and brother Xander, you two have a smelly mouth! You bad guys!" It
took all of Nini''s courage to yell at her cousin.
She always thought they were nice, but after seeing Amanda and Xander say bad things about her
loving brother, she changed her opinion of them.
Nini was only twelve years old, but she was a courageous little girl, and she wouldn''t forgive anyone
who disrespected her brother.She pulled her brother inside the gate, leaving behind a stunned Amanda
and Xander, who didn''t expect Ninitosh out at them.
Their faces turn livid as the people around them start giggling and chuckling while looking at them.
"Why, you little brat! Come back here!"
Amanda red at their backs as they headed toward the family manor.
Shortly after, Sett and Nini finally arrive at the Crossword Family Manor, which was literally filled to the
brim; it resembled a beehive.
Sett spotted his second and first uncle, as well as his aunts, merrily chatting with the high-status guest.
First, Sett took a deep breath, suppressing the tremors in his heart as he headed toward them.
"Wee to the Crossword family, Director Sirius! It''s a pleasure to meet you in person! I would like to
apologize for not receiving you in person."
Madam ire shook hands with a middle-aged, pot -bellied man.
"You must be jesting, Madam ire.You are a great person, so I wouldn''t be happy if I troubled a
beautiful woman, such as you.Actually, I should be the one grateful!"
Madam ire was on cloud nine as she felt ttered after being bombarded withpliments by the
well-known director and also the other famous family that hade to attend the birthday celebration.
This was a high time for the Crossword family to befriend and build connections with famous individuals
from otherpanies and groups.
Suddenly, Madam ire, who was weing a guest from the Laurel family, discovers two figures
heading toward the main area.She frowned first, and before she could speak, she suddenly heard her
husband, Tom, speaking."
"Hey, hey, hey, if it isn''t brother Charles'' children! What a great surprise!" Mr.Tom smirked.
He deliberately raised his voice so the others would hear him.
"You''re right, Tom; it''s Charles'' son and daughter.They are indeed on their way here.Madam ire,
what do you think the purpose of this pair of siblings''ing here for?"
"Obviously, they''re here to get a taste of the good life! You see, without the family head support, second
brother Charles wouldn''t be able to provide for his son and daughter.Heh, with how poor they are now,
surely our nephew and niece must be sick from living in poverty."
Madam ire chimed in, while sneering.
At that moment, Sett and Nini, who were already near the main tables, couldpletely hear what their
aunts and uncles were talking about.
Not to mention, Aunt ire and Uncle Tom were not lowering their voices; their intention was for him
and Nini to hear all their disgusting remarks.
"Brother." Nini uttered, as her tears threatened to fall.
"It''s alright, Nini, we aren''t here for them but for your grandfather, so it''s okay.They are liars, so don''t
believe what they said."
Sett smiled at her sister to reassure her, but the truth was that Sett was already having a hard time
containing his boiling anger.He silently clenched his fist tightly as it dug into his skin to calm himself.He
then escorted his sister to a nearby chair at the junior table area.
"Waiter, get them off of that table seat! They are not allowed in that area, as it''s only for the Crossword
family.Not for the disobedient, hmmph!" Madam ire sneered.
Although she was Sett''s aunt, her actions say otherwise.
